Players can turn Raz’s levitation balls to white or purple in Psychonauts 2. As Raz continues his journey to be a part of the Psychonauts spy organization, players will travel deep into the minds of a variety of different characters to help them sort through their problems. One of the first abilities Raz unlocks is the ability to create a levitation ball. This PSI power allows Raz to ride on a bubble to jump higher, float down slower, and get around dangerous gaps. This ability is essential for clearing the game’s more difficult platforming challenge. Players can change the colors of these levitation balls with a bit of effort.

Once the player reaches the Motherlobe and completes a handful of quests in the area, they can spend their Psitanium at Otto’s Shop. This location allows players to purchase consumables for HP or upgrade Raz’s psychic abilities. Players can also purchase Pins that provide Raz additional buffs and stat boosts. This is where players can learn how to change the color of the levitation balls.

Raz is required to be a certain Cadet level in order to unlock most Pins. Fortunately, the color Pins can be purchased from the moment players access Otto’s Shop. Players will find three different color options in the shop and will need them all to create the White or Purple levitation balls. Players should get the Psitanium Wallet beforehand to increase their total Psitanium carry capacity. This way, they can purchase all three Pins at once.

How To Get Purple and White Levitation Balls in Psychonauts 2

The three Pins Raz will need are found in the dedicated levitation section and include:

  • Sapphire Lev Ball: Players can purchase this for 10 Psitanium at PSI Rank 1. This will change the color of the levitation ball to blue.
  • Emerald Lev Ball: Players can purchase this for 10 Psitanium at PSI Rank 1. This will change the color of the levitation ball to green.
  • Ruby Lev Ball: Players can purchase this for 10 Psitanium at PSI Rank 1. This will change the color of the levitation ball to red.

Players will then need to tap into color theory and combine them together.

Raz is only able to carry three Pins at a time. If players wear both the Sapphire and Ruby Lev Ball Pins, the colors will combine and turn purple. Players looking for the white levitation ball will need to combine Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby together. These Pins don’t do anything besides changing the color of Raz’s levitation ball. It’s more so just a fun little Psychonauts 2 easter egg for players to discover and use to express themselves.
