The life of French interior artist Frederic Marq has changed drastically since the end of The Real Housewives of Miami. Frederic appeared on the Bravo reality show alongside housewife star Adriana De Moura, and the couple was portrayed as they advanced from dating each other to tying the knot. Since RHOM‘s untimely cancellation in 2013, Frederic Marq has maintained his lavish lifestyle with some major alterations.

One of the most complicated marriages of Bravo, the Real Housewives of Miami‘s short-lived 3-season run from 2011 to 2013 captured Frederic Marq in a time of transition from French bachelor to newlywed… or so it seemed. Even though Adriana insisted that the couple was not married until 2013, her ex-friend and fellow Miami housewife Lea Black revealed that the couple had been legally married in secret since 2008. Adriana clarified that Alex got cold feet and pressured her to call off the 2008 wedding ceremony, but Adriana and Frederic remained legally married. The confusion around Frederic’s relationship with Adriana set the pair up for a rocky marriage post-RHOM, and it also made fans theorize that Adriana’s reasons for marrying Frederic were based more on opportunity than affection.

Frederic has worked as a hotel developer and designer for his own business, Frederic Marq Design, since the company’s launch in February 2000. During the couple’s time on RHOM, Frederic was pursuing Adriana’s hand in marriage. However, the reality star was hesitant to get married again after undergoing the divorce from her first husband Roberto Sidi in 2006. Since the art-loving couple’s marriage and the abrupt cancellation of The Real Housewives of Miami in 2013, Frederic has strengthened his artistic empire. On the other hand, his relationship with Adriana has not weathered the post-Bravo storm as steadily.

Even though The Real Housewives of Miami is slated for a reboot on Peacock, it is unlikely that Frederic would return to the revived reality franchise. At the end of RHOM, Frederic was just beginning his executive program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He completed the Ivy League program in 2014 and the Frederic Marq Design company continues to thrive to this day. Unfortunately, Marq’s marriage to Adriana has not faired well. The first sign of the couple’s demise came with the selling of their Miami Beach home in 2018. During an Instagram Live in 2020, Adriana confessed that she has been enjoying her life since the end of The Real Housewives of Miami with the only downside being the end of her relationship with Frederic. The factors that led to the marriage’s dissipation remain unknown, but Adriana shared that she is grateful she can relieve their relationship on the three seasons of RHOM.

Overall, Frederic Marq has lived a fairly typical post-Bravo life. From selling his house for millions of dollars to furthering his business ventures to separating from his Housewives wife, Frederic has made the most out of his reality TV stint. Whether or not Frederic and Adriana will have another shot at their marriage on the upcoming reboot of The Real Housewives of Miami waits to be seen.
