Real Housewives Of Orange County: What Happened to Tammy Knickerbocker After Leaving Show

Tammy Knickerbocker has enjoyed life away from the spotlight since leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County. Fans are curious about what she’s been up to since saying goodbye to the popular series.

After being cast as a full-time housewife in RHOC seasons two and three, Tammy was demoted to a friend role in The Real Housewives of Orange County seasons four, five, six, and ten. She reportedly joined the show after a recommendation from her friend and former housewife, Jeana Keough. Jeana is the mother of the former minor league baseball player, Shane Keough. Once hailed for living in one of the biggest houses in the gated community, her life drastically changed after she and her late husband Lou lost their fortune. The self-proclaimed “rebel” of the OC, Tammy’s legacy goes on and keeps her intertwined with the show’s current cast. She made an appearance in a flashback scene last season, after her ex Duff Evans (the father of her third child, Ryley), attended Vicki Gunvalson’s engagement party as the date of the housewife Shannon Storms. “He had a child with Tammy Knickerbocker, who used to hang out with this group of people, so he knows a lot of people here,” Emily Simpson said.

While she left the show years ago, Tammy’s name is still being brought up on RHOC. After exiting the show, Tammy decided to move out of the OC and relocated a few miles away, to Newport Beach, California. She spoke with Yahoo TV in 2014 and shared her co-parenting experience with her ex, Duff. “Duff Evans and I live down the street from each other,” she revealed. “We always surprise people when they realize we’re not a couple still,” she added. “I always kid with them and say the secret to our relationship is we date other people,” she concluded. In addition to her son Ryley, she has a very close relationship with her two daughters Megan and Lindsey. When she first appeared on the show, the mom was helping her daughters through their healing process following the passing of their father.

Not one to frequently post on social media, Tammy’s most recent Tammy Knickerbocker Instagram post was dedicated to her daughter Megan. “So proud of you,” she captioned a photo of her daughter posing in front of a Salon Success Academy banner. “Can’t wait to have you work in the aesthetic world,” she added to the September 4 post. Other photos show the former housewife living a more humble life compared to her Bravo days. Nonetheless, she still uses her former housewife status to her advantage. In a May 2018 post, she promoted a tea and Botox party by letting the public know that it would feature, “Real Housewives alum Tammy Knickerbocker.” The flyer included the RHOC logo but noticeably blurred it towards the end.

With her legacy on the show still carrying over into recent storylines, there’s no doubt about the possibility of her possible Real Housewives of Orange County return. Fans of the show miss some of the more veteran housewives, including Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, and Lydia McLaughlin.
