Teen dystopian dramas are definitely a popular and favorite genre, and definitely have die-hard fan followings that are always entertained over and over again. Divergent is one of the most popular young adult series out there, and unfortunately, fans never got to see the film franchise have its proper ending.

Since the first one came out in 2014, it’s unlikely that these actors and actresses could pass as these teenagers and young adults anymore. For those that want to dream of a world where the movie series was awesome and complete, it’s time to dream up a cast for if this franchise was remade in 2020.

10 Tobias Eaton – Noah Centineo

Theo James has certainly stolen everyone’s hearts as Tobias Eaton, but it’s time to pass the torch to a younger actor. Noah Centineo blew up for starring in the Netflix romantic comedy, To All The Boys I Loved Before.

While that’s a very different role, fans should be able to see how this mysterious and handsome face could be that tough exterior that Four is known for, and also be as skilled at fighting and making hearts melt.

9 Christina – Margaret Qualley

There are two actors on this list that starred in Quentin Tarantino’s newest flick, and they both certainly deserve to be. Margaret Qualley is fairly new to the big screen, but she has mesmerizing confidence and strength.

While Zoe Kravitz brings the stubborn and tough Christina to life in the series, this actress might be able to do the role just as much justice.

8 Eric – Dave Franco

Jai Courtney plays this villain in the films. Fans will remember him as the other Dauntless leader and trainer, who is cruel and wicked – especially to Tris and Tobias.

Eric thinks he has all the power, and he actually usually does. Dave Franco is certainly a popular actor today and could be that arrogant and sadistic character that fans know Eric to be.

7 Peter – Austin Butler

For those that are big fans of Miles Teller, they’ll know he played this cruel and selfish character well. However, Austin Butler is a young actor that has recently been in some huge flicks, like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the new zombie flick, The Dead Don’t Die.

He is capable of being tough, arrogant, and charming, but he would also likely play the ‘wounded’ and lost Peter that appears, later in the series, extremely well.

6 Marcus Eaton – Jude Law

Fans all know Jude Law to be devilishly charming, but also capable of being the bad guy that no one expects. Marcus Eaton is the face of Abnegation, but all real fans know that he’s actually a pretty selfish and horrible person.

Jude Law has the face and arrogance, but he’s also capable of being that dark character that everyone loves to hate. This actor could certainly take over for Ray Stevenson.

5 Caleb Prior – Tye Sheridan

This handsome face first got known for Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, and is the perfect mix of smart and handsome, but also has that vibe that can make him a bit annoying or hated.

Ansel Elgort might be a great Caleb, but as of 2020, Sheridan is the young man that could convince everyone to feel bad for him and hate him all at once.

4 Jeanine – Charlize Theron

Kate Winslet might seem irreplaceable as the bold, intelligent, and cruel leader of Erudite. However, if someone could replace her, it would definitely be the brilliant and talented Charlize Theron.

She has the charm, grace, and leadership, but she also is convincing as a slightly evil and wicked character. Charlize Theron would bring this series’ villain to life masterfully.

3 Natalie Prior – Amy Adams

Amy Adams is probably one of the most talented actresses in the business today, and she’s proven herself across all kinds of genres. Natalie Prior is true to Abnegation, but behind her soft exterior is a warrior.

Amy Adams could certainly bring this character to life and would make a pretty great mother to Tris. Ashley Judd was great in this role, but Adams could also do it some pretty great justice.

2 Tori Wu – Jamie Chung

This character is is the cool, smart, and bold tattoo artist that befriends Tris, becoming a sort of mentor to both her and Tobias. This actress has been in a ton of television series, including Once Upon a Time and Gotham.

These in themselves prove she can be a tough fighter, and she has the cool and beautiful appearance that all fans imagine Tori Wu to be.

1 Beatrice Prior – Eliza Scanlen

Eliza Scanlen has just burst into the public eye and is known for being in the newest adaptation of Little Women and the Netflix Original The Devil All The Time. She also starred in the television series Sharp Objects with Amy Adams.

While she plays an innocent character in these flicks, she has a plain and modest form that is all Tris, and she’s totally capable of becoming a wicked fighter – just like Shailene Woodley proved she could be, too.
