The ending of season 1 leaves room for Record of Ragnarok season 2, and here’s everything currently known about it. Record of Ragnarok season 1 was met with high praise, spending a few days on Netflix’s top 10 chart. The series is a Netflix Original adaptation of the manga of the same name by Shinya and Takumi Fukui.

If the gods reach seven victories first, humanity will cease to exist; if humanity reaches seven victories, they will win 1000 years of existence.

In season 1, Record of Ragnarok had so far seen three rounds; while humanity suffered two heartbreaking defeats in Lü Bu and Adam, Kojiro Sasaki’s victory against the tyrant Poseidon has reinvigorated the hope of humanity and the Valkyries. There are still 10 rounds left in Ragnarok – and with the score at 2-1 in the gods’ favor, humanity needs to secure six more wins in order to guarantee their survival.

Record Of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date Info

Currently, Record of Ragnarok season 2 hasn’t received the green light yet. Record of Ragnarok season 1 was announced in December 2020 and released on June 17, 2021. If Record of Ragnarok season 2 is approved, it would likely require a similar amount of time to produce, meaning the soonest Record of Ragnarok season 2 could be released is in late 2021. With the manga still publishing, however, it’s more likely that Record of Ragnarok season 2 may have to wait until the manga concludes the current battle if the anime wants to continue to stick with the canon source material, delaying Record of Ragnarok season 2 even further. With this delay, it’s likely Record of Ragnarok won’t be released until 2022.

Record Of Ragnarok Season 2 Story Details

Record of Ragnarok season 1 gave a brief teaser for what to expect in Record of Ragnarok season 2. At the end of episode 12, the fourth round of Ragnarok was staged. On the gods’ side, Heracles will be seeking revenge for the Greek gods after the death of Poseidon. On the side of humanity will be the most infamous killer in history, Jack the Ripper. Record of Ragnarok season 1 featured the first three rounds of battles, so it is likely the Record of Ragnarok season 2 will feature the next three battles in the line-up. In the manga, the fifth round featured Raiden Tameemon, history’s greatest sumo wrestler, and Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction. The current battle in the Record of Ragnarok manga – the sixth round – features Zerofuku, the Japanese god of misfortune, on the side of the gods, and Buddha on the side of humanity. Record of Ragnarok season 2 will likely focus on these three upcoming battles.
