For the next two weeks, PlayStation players won’t need a PlayStation Plus membership to explore Red Dead Online. Such an offer from Rockstar Games comes just in time for the arrival of Red Dead Online: Blood Money, an update launched on July 13 that introduced new crime work involving shakedowns, robberies, and several new activities.

As Red Dead Online’s first major update in months, Blood Money offers a welcome change of pace. The fresh batch of content tasks players with meeting Guido Martelli, an underboss to Saint Denis crime lord Angelo Bronte. Martelli’s missions pop up as Crimes and Opportunities, all centered around the mob boss’ quest for the Bronte family’s valuable Capitale assets. In addition to following the Captitale trail, players can partake in nefarious deeds along the countryside which range from attacking vulnerable Camps to robbing Homesteads potentially housing treasures of a fort. For a limited time, all that RedDead Online: Blood Money has on offer can be accessed by even more people.

A recent Rockstar Newswire post outlines everything fans should expect upon jumping into the Blood Money update. It additionally notes that PlayStation users can enjoy Red Dead Online without a PlayStation Plus subscription until Monday, July 26. Those wanting to take advantage of the limited-time offer will, of course, need to own Red Dead Online, either through Red Dead Redemption 2 or via the multiplayer suite’s standalone version. There’s no such benefit in place for players on Xbox platforms at the time of writing.

As mentioned above, this particular PlayStation Plus-related offer does feature its limits since users must already have access to Red Dead Online. But those who own the experience and let their membership lapse can at least give the Blood Money content a try for the next two weeks.

PS4 and PS5 owners who remain subscribed to PlayStation Plus have a few benefits of their own to look forward to this month. The service’s free titles for July 2021 include Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds, accessible to both PS4 and PS5 subscribers. Meanwhile, players on the newer hardware can also download the PS5 version of A Plague Tale: Innocence, which includes DualSense features, 3D audio support, and 4K/60fps gameplay options.
