Red Dead Online: How to Steal the Covington Emerald (Blood Money Update)

The Covington Emerald is a valuable gem that players can steal in Red Dead Online. The Blood Money update is the most recent content update to make its way to Red Dead Online. Similar to GTA Online, the game features a vibrant and active community who are eager to jump into new cowboy adventures.

This time around, Red Dead Online players will venture into the criminal underworld of the west by pulling off heists with some of the most dangerous men in the land. Players will need to get started with Blood Money before they can do these new missions. One of these missions requires the player to steal the Covington Emerald from inside of a moving train. There are a few preparations that need to be completed before they can begin this mission.

For starters, players will need to make sure they have enough Capitale to participate in this mission. This is the newest form of currency that is used by players to purchase Opportunities. Collecting Capitale is a monotonous grind, but it is needed to participate in these missions. These function as crimes and players will need to earn enough before they can participate in the Covington Emerald heist. The higher the difficulty, the more Capitale the player will need to have available. Standard needs 15, Hard requires 20, and Ruthless has to have 25 Capitale. Once the player has enough, they can head to any of the Blood Money quest givers to pull out the Covington Emerald quest. Here’s how players can complete it.

Every Step in Stealing The Red Dead Online Covington Emerald

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to steal the Covington Emerald.

• Step 1: Head over to Saint Denis.
• Step 2: After arriving, players will be able to gather intel about the train and a Checkpoint to make it easier if the player fails.
• Step 3: Head over to the Checkpoint and there will be an empty weapon that players can place on the train tracks.
• Step 4: Wait for the train to arrive and when it stops because of the wagon, board it.
• Step 5: Take out the enemies on the train using a bow to prevent alerting the other guards.
• Step 6: The Covington Emerald is located in the final cart inside of a chest.
• Step 7: Grab the Covington Emerald and escape the train.
• Step 8: Drop the Emerald over at the drop-off location.

After completing the mission, players will be given a reward by Guido Martelli. Players also don’t need to use the bow if they don’t have the weapon available but it will make the mission much easier. Banks have changed in Red Dead Online since the release of Blood Money but its missions remain most of the same. Explore every new mission the Blood Money heist has to offer.
