Rockstar Game’s Red Dead Redemption 2 is a sprawling open-world western that is filled with adventure, intrigue, and a whole lot of horse riding. It is also loaded with trophies to collect. As players progress the main story they will achieve most of these trophies, but a few will require a bit more effort. Below we detail each achievement and how to collect them all on your way to that beautiful Platinum Trophy.

There are 52 trophies in total to collect throughout the game. We’ve separated them by story and online play. As a warning, there will be some minor story spoilers ahead. So saddle up your horse, grab your gear, and get on the dusty road to Platinum with our Red Dead Redemption 2 trophy guide.

All Red Dead Redemption 2 Trophies During Story Mode

There are 35 total trophies available through story mode play. Most will be obtained by just playing through the main story, while others require a little work from the player. There are a few trophies that can be missed if you don’t know what you’re doing, those are marked as “missable” below.

  • Legend Of The West [Platinum] – Unlock all other Red Dead Redemption 2 trophies & gain 100% completion.
  • Back in the Mud [Bronze] – Complete Chapter 1.
  • Just a Scratch [Bronze] – Complete the “Enter, pursued by memory” mission.
  • To Greener Pastures [Bronze] – Complete Chapter 2.
  • Settling Feuds [Bronze] – Complete Chapter 3.
  • Washed Ashore [Bronze] – Complete Chapter 4.
  • No Traitors [Bronze] – Complete Chapter 5.
  • Lending A Hand [Silver] – (Missable) Complete all optional Honor story missions. This set of missions is only available during Chapter 6 and can be lost if not obtained as soon as possible.
  • Third Time Lucky [Bronze] – Complete the “Goodbye, Dear Friend” mission.
  • Cowboy Builder [Bronze] – Complete the “A New Jerusalem” mission.
  • Endless Summer [Gold] – Complete the epilogue.
  • Paying Respects [Bronze] – Discover all 9 graves of your fallen comrades. This is only available after the epilogue is completed.
  • Redemption [Silver] – Complete Red Dead Redemption 2.
  • It’s Art [Bronze] – Find a permanent home for the squirrel statue. This item can be placed at Beecher’s Hope, above the fireplace in the living room. After a day it will disappear, you must find it 6 times before this trophy unlocks.
  • Best In The West [Gold] – Attain 100% completion.
  • Collector’s Item [Silver] – Complete one of the collectible strands.
  • Friends With Benefits [Bronze] – (Missable) Complete a companion activity in each camp. The companion camps are only available through Chapters 2, 3, & 4.
  • Hobby Horse [Bronze] – Play all mini-games.
  • Breaking & Entering [Bronze] – Recover the stash from 4 different homesteads.
  • Artificial Intelligence [Bronze] – Discover the fate of Marko Dragic.
  • Take From The Rich [Bronze] – Rob or loot $250.
  • Give To The Poor [Bronze] – (Missable) Donate $250 to the gang’s tithing box. The tithing box disappears after Chapter 4, be sure to grab this one before it does.
  • Pony Up [Bronze] – Spend $5,000 across all shops.
  • Extreme Personality [Bronze] – Reach maximum or minimum Honor level.
  • Western Strangers [Bronze] – Complete 10 Stranger mission strands.
  • Bountiful [Bronze] – Survive three days with a $250 bounty in all states.
  • Errand Boy [Bronze] – (Missable) Deliver 5 companion camp requests. The companion camps are only available through Chapters 2, 3, & 4.
  • Self Sufficient [Bronze] – Craft 30 unique items.
  • Skin Deep [Bronze] – Skin every animal.
  • Zoologist [Bronze] – Study every animal.
  • It Was THIS Big! [Bronze] – Catch a fish weighing at least 16lbs.
  • Locked & Loaded [Bronze] – Upgrade each available component for a single side-arm or long-arm weapon.
  • Grin & Bear It [Bronze] – Survive 18 bear attacks & kill the bear in each attack.
  • Trusty Stead [Bronze] – Reach maximum bond level with your horse.

All Red Dead Redemption 2 Trophies During Online Mode

The remaining 17 trophies will be achieved through the online multiplayer mode in Red Dead Redemption 2.

  • Breakout [Bronze] – Complete the intro.
  • Series Major [Bronze] – Take part in any series event.
  • Gun For Hire [Bronze] – Accept 10 free roam missions from characters around the world.
  • Eventful [Bronze] – Play 5 free roam events.
  • Buckle Up [Bronze] – Achieve 5 gold belt buckles from awards.
  • The Real Deal [Bronze] – Achieve MVP 3 times in a round with at least 4 people.
  • Horses for Courses [Bronze] – Own 5 different horses at one time.
  • Getting Started [Bronze] – Reach rank 10.
  • All’s Fair [Bronze] – Successfully counter a rival posse’s free roam mission.
  • Home Comforts [Bronze] – Purchase 5 camp improvements.
  • Non-Regulation [Bronze] – Craft 25 pieces of ammunition.
  • Posse Up [Bronze] – Create a persistent posse.
  • Master Craftsman [Bronze] – Craft 20 items, this does not include ammo.
  • Butchered [Bronze] – Sell 20 items to the butcher.
  • Picked To Perfection [Bronze] – Pick 25 herbs.
  • Strength in Numbers [Bronze] – Complete a free roam mission with a posse of at least 2 people.
  • Notorious [Gold] – Reach level 50.

That’s every trophy available in Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s no easy feat to achieve all of them, but with a little effort, players will be rewarded with the all-mighty Platinum trophy.
