Bolstering this terror and anxiety is the ever-present threat of the titular antagonist, Nemesis. Having to come face to face with the creature throughout the game, the player’s second fight with the villain is among the hardest. Not only has the monster transformed into a new and more dangerous form, but it is equipped with a host of deadly attacks. Nemesis is both the most intimidating and dangerous threat that players face throughout the course of the game. Being an omnipresent force that players need to be aware of at every point in the game, Nemesis is fitting of his name. This guide will teach players how to dispatch the villain in his second form.

How to Defeat Nemesis’s Second Form in Resident Evil 3

When facing Nemesis’s second form it is important to realize that this version of Nemesis has no clear “weak spot” on his body. Unlike his first form in which players need to attack his Flamethrower’s reserve, this fight is a matter of dumping bullets into the creature’s deformed body.

This version of Nemesis is less humanoid and more so half-beast half-Nemesis. Running on all fours, players will need to fight Nemesis in a circular arena. To defeat the monster players need to just deplete the creature’s large health bar.

The best way to put down the monster is through shooting Nemesis with grenade launcher rounds, shotgun shells, tossing grenades at the beast, and shooting him with handgun rounds. Putting down the villain may seem like an expensive endeavor, due to the sheer amount of bullets required to do so. Thankfully the arena is filled with ammo needed to defeat Nemesis.

After taking a set amount of damage, Nemesis will begin to circle the arena at a blistering pace. Making hitting the deformed version near-impossible, so use this time to reload your most powerful guns. Simply dodge his incoming attacks and fire off rounds of attacks in order to defeat the mutated monster.
