Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 3 recreates the intensity and terror of the original game and adapts it for modern audiences. With gorgeous visual designs and character models, the remade title is arguably one of the most visually impressive games ever made. Alongside its eery sound design the game force players into a feeling of anxiety and fear. Its lighting engine coinciding with its terrifying cast of monsters and zombies make Resident Evil 3 a masterclass in survival horror world-building. Capcom not only recreates the success of its original title, but it has also stamped the golden standard for survival horror games. Being one of the best games in the franchise also solidifies itself as one of the best games within the genre.

One of the biggest factors for Resident Evil 3’s success in terrifying its audience is through its ever-present villain, Nemesis. Similar to his predecessor, Mr. X, Nemesis is a pseudo-omnipresent foe that follows players around throughout the map. The monster is armed with an arsenal of weaponry, melee attacks, distance closing moves, long-reaching tentacle attacks, and a variety of other weapons. His third form is among the most difficult to defeat in the game. Being one of the final versions of the boss that players have to defeat, tackling the beast is a feat as difficult as it sounds.

How to Beat Nemesis’s Third Form in Resident Evil 3

Fighting Nemesis’s third form is a task that requires both mental fortitude alongside an armory of powerful guns. You will fight the creature within a circular arena in the NEST location in the game. This arena will be filled with both health items and also ammo required to put down the menacing foe.

The most important thing to note when engaging in this boss fight is the variety of generators surrounding the arena. Occasionally Nemesis will flee to the top of the arena and stand on one of these generators, in which Carlos will call out which generator he is standing on. After he calls out which generator he is standing on shoot its red control panel, which will trigger an electric shockwave which will leave Nemesis open for a deadly counter-attack.

Defeating this version of Nemesis is simply a matter of dumping ammo into the enemy. Learning how to dodge his attacks will also yield some powerful counter-attacks as well. After dealing enough damage Nemesis will crumple at the Player’s feet, allowing players to continue their journey.
