The Capcom-developed video game franchise Resident Evil has garnered huge adulation and popularity over the years, with the game being adapted into various movie franchises and hilarious Capcom memes, as well. Having brilliant storylines, the games also offer great opportunities for being adapted into reboot movies. The latest in the list of great games (discounting the remakes) belonging to the franchise is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which released in 2017, returning to its survival-horror roots, with a focus on exploration.

The game consists of four major bosses, namely, Mia, Jack, Marguerite, and Eveline. The good thing about boss fights in Resident Evil 7 is that it has changed subtly, allowing players to not get caught in a situation that is unwinnable if they have entered the boss fight unprepared. However, the bosses are not going to succumb without putting up a fight, and, therefore, having a boss guide and a few tricks and tips up the sleeve can prove to be a brilliant advantage for the players.

10 Mia: Block And Attack

The first boss fight is with Mia in the guest house 1F, whereby she throws the player through a wall, initiating the start of the fight sequence. Players would find an ax after they have been thrown through the wall, which they need to pick up.

The best way to defeat Mia here is by blocking her attacks and then following the same with a counter-attack with the ax. It is best advised to circle around Mia, to receive the least amount of damage. She will soon be defeated, following which the player needs to grab the ax as it would be required again.

9 Mia: Aim For The Head

Similar to the small details players might find while replaying the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 7 also has hidden treasures that need to be explored, especially to win a boss fight. During the encounter with Mia in the guest house attic, players need to explore the various rooms before they climb the ladder.

A number of ammo caches along with a handgun would be available in these rooms, which need to be used to deal headshots to Mia while maintaining a distance. Players need to dash away when Mia charges at them or enter the different rooms, forcing Mia to break through the walls and doors to reach the player. If the ammo runs out, the ax stored in the inventory should come in handy.

8 Jack: Run Him Down

The first encounter with Jack Baker in the garage involves him running at the player, whereby the latter needs to immediately go for the bench on their right and get hold of the car keys.

Once the player has the car keys, they need to get inside the vehicle in the garage and literally run Jack down. After ramming the vehicle several times into Jack, it should initiate the end of the boss fight sequence. However, in order to complete it properly, the player needs to climb the garage ladder.

7 Jack: Keep Space In Your Inventory

The next encounter with Jack Baker happens in the morgue of the main house, where players need to go to collect dog head sigils. This boss fight has two parts. The first part initializes after the player has collected the final Dog Head, whereby they need to move around the morgue’s central pillar and deal headshots to Jack while stunning him by directing the hanging corpses towards him.

After Jack has received substantial damage, the second part of the fight starts whereby the player needs to have at least three-open slots in their inventory. During the second part, Jack tears down a fence and grabs a chainsaw, revealing another chainsaw that the player needs to pick up, thereby requiring the empty slots. The next step involves blocking and dodging the attacks dealt by Jack to follow it up with a counter using the chainsaw until Jack finally succumbs.

6 Marguerite: Crouch! Stand Up! Aim! Headshot! Repeat!

Marguerite Baker, a boss in Resident Evil 7 has become so popular that many eerily good Resident Evil monster cosplays of Marguerite have been attempted by fans. The first meeting with this powerful boss happens in the old house 1F. She throws the player through a crow-door into a hole, whereby the latter needs to aim and deal her with headshots every time she peers through the opening at the top.

They also need to crouch and stand up constantly to thwart off Marguerite’s poisonous insects. These insects can be averted by using the flamethrower as well. Once enough headshots have landed, Marguerite should yield, and fall into the hole.

5 Marguerite: Stay Close And Blast Her Belly

The next encounter with Marguerite happens in the greenhouse of the old house. Marguerite should come out of the window and attack the player once they have climbed up the stairs in the greenhouse. It is important to keep moving and blast her belly, which should sport a sac-like growth.

It is also important to stay close to Marguerite, since leaving her alone for too long would allow her to breed insect nests that start landing damage to the player. Once enough damage has been dealt to Marguerite’s sac, she should turn to dust, allowing the player to use her lantern.

4 Jack: Poke Him In The Eye(s)

Jack Baker is one of the most powerful monsters in the Resident Evil games, thereby making this final encounter with him all the more difficult. After completing the serum, Jack Baker attacks the player in a mutated and monstrous form. To defeat Jack, the player needs to constantly be on the move, collecting ammo from the various boxes in the Testing Area and dodging Jack’s sweeping attacks. The player also needs to aim and burst all the eyeballs present on Jack’s mutated body.

It is important to note that Jack has at least one of these eyeballs on the underside of his body. Therefore, if there seems to be no visible target, Jack needs to be lured to the top level before the player drops down, looks up, and blasts the final eyeball. Once that is done only one big eyeball remains, which needs to be shot a couple of times, to finish Jack off once and for all.

3 Mia: Defeating Mia Is Always The Same

Probably the weakest of all the bosses, defeating Mia in the final encounter at the Wrecked Ship is similar to all the previous fights with her in the gameplay. This fight only occurs if Ethan chooses to save Zoe using the serum.

All the player needs to do is grab the crowbar, and block Mia’s attack only to counter them with a crowbar strike of their own. Once Mia charges at the player they need to dash away and block and counter till she is finally defeated.

2 Evaline: Shoot Her With Everything You’ve Got

The final boss fight with Eveline in the guest house takes place over three stages. The first stage involves blocking Eveline’s psionic blasts and proceeding towards her slowly till the player can finally inject her with the serum. Then, a monstrous Eveline emerges from the wall, and the player needs to keep going back and shoot her face till she throws him/her out from the building.

The final stage involves Eveline transforming into a monstrous entity, whereby she grabs the player and they need to blast her face with everything they have got in their inventory. Gradually, Eveline would drop the player, only for them to be prompted to pick up a powerful handgun lying on the ground. Eveline should be defeated as the player shoots this handgun towards her face.

1 All: First Aid Kits Are Your Friends

Despite carrying out every tip in the book to take down the bosses in Resident Evil 7, even a pro-player should face damage, especially while fighting powerful bosses like Marguerite and Jack.

Therefore, it is always advisable to keep the inventory stocked up with the requisite amount of First Aid Kits or keep looking for them and collecting them during ongoing boss fights. Med Kits are a player’s friend helping them remain in the game and not be defeated by a boss after being dealt a few heavy blows.
