Resident Evil 7: How to Defeat The Final Boss (Tips, Tricks, & Strategies)

Resident Evil: Biohazardtook the series in a direction unlike anything fans have ever seen. Most notably, players controlled Ethan, Biohazard’s protagonist, in 1st person. A monumental switch from Resident Evil’s iconic over-the-shoulder perspective. The closest thing plays have gotten to a 1st person Resident Evil game came from mods for the remake of Resident Evil 2 & 3. However, mods do exists to play Biohazard with a classic fixed camera. Biohazard also scaled down the enemy mobs and dialed the fright factor up to 11.

The eighth game in the series, Resident Evil: Villiage, is due out May 7, 2021. Fans that haven’t played  Biohazard will want to get their zombie-killing hands on a copy. Playing through Biohazard will help in understanding the mechanics they can expect from Village. From what we’ve seen soo far, Resident Evil: Village should be just as terrifying. Of course, every game in the series has maintained epic boss battles. Here is how to defeat the final boss in Resident Evil: Biohazard. (Spoilers ahead!)

Resident Evil: Biohazard – Eveline Boss Guide

Eveline has been pulling the strings behind the entire show. She’s responsible for everything that’s happened to the Baker family since they dragged her and Mia off that beach. She has since been appearing to Ethan in the form of an ‘innocent’ 10 year-year-old girl. Little does he know that Eveline, or Bioweapon E-001, was genetically modified to infiltrate and control her victims’ minds. Finally, at the end of the longest night of his life, Ethan is met with one final goal— to destroy Eveline.

The Eveline boss fight is short-lived. Players could make the argument that the game climaxed once Ethan escaped the wreckage and made it back to the guest house. He’ll begin seeing multiple hallucinations of Mia as she lunges at him. Her face is mangled; she doesn’t at all resemble the woman he loves. Eventually, these hallucinations will have Mia attacking Ethan with a chainsaw. Remember, these are only hallucinations. Block her attacks but don’t waste ammo. Ethan must go into this boss fight with as much ammo as possible.

Players will eventually find Eveline floating in midair as she shoots shockwaves at Ethan to keep him at bay. Block the shockwaves and walk towards Eveline. Once close enough, Ethan will shoot her full of E-Necrotoxin. She’ll take her older form before melting into a liquid pile of black mold. But the fun’s not over.

Eveline will emerge through the wall ahead as a massive Madussa-like creature made of mold and vines. Open fire on her face with Ethan’s assault rifle and shotgun— they’ll be the player’s best friends through this entire engagement. Be sure to block her vine attacks and never stop shooting. Eventually, Ethan will fall through the floor and end up outside. Eveline will erupt through the house and continue to pummel him with attacks. Players don’t have much control over Etha’s movements outside of blocking. This boss fight plays more like an interactive cut-scene.

After Etha deals enough damage, a Blue Umbrella helicopter will drop a suitcase containing an Albert-1 pistol. Ethan will crawl for the gun and use it to deliver the killing blow to Eveline. She’ll fall to the ground, calcify, and break into a thousand tiny pieces.

Resident: Evil Biohazard was a drastic change from what series fans have come to know, and it paid off. Fans now eagerly await the arrival of Resident Evil: Village to give them the dose of fear they’ve been waiting for. Fans will be excited to know that Resident Evil: Biohazard may be receiving a Next-Gen upgrade.
