Resident Evil Mod Makes Lady Dimitrescu’s Hat Bigger Every Time You Look At Her

There is a new mod for Resident Evil Village, that hilariously makes Lady Dimitrescu’s hat get bigger and bigger ever time the player looks at it. Resident Evil Village only released a little over a week ago, but the game has already taken the world by storm. In a mere four days after its release, 3 million copies of Capcom’s latest survival horror experience were sold, making it one of the franchise’s most successful titles already.

One of the most enticing aspects of Resident Evil Village is its remarkable array of villainous characters. From the quiet and haunting Donna Beneviento to the brash and crude Karl Heisenberg, players experience a surprisingly charismatic range of horrors throughout the game. But while Mother Miranda and her heinous lycans are certainly brilliant in their own unique ways, it is Lady Dimitrescu who has unanimously won over the hearts of the people.

Even before Resident Evil Village released, the media frenzy that surrounded Lady Dimitrescu was palpable. Her imposing stature and immaculate wardrobe simply oozed class. This love was so strong that some fans even went on to mod her in-game appearance in a number of bizarre ways. And now, she is the star in yet another mod, this time by content creator Kallialee. This particular mod, however, affects not Lady Dimitrescu herself, but rather her stylish hat. The mod works by making Lady Dimitrescu’s already pretty sizeable headpiece swell in volume any time a player lays their eyes upon her. The hat in question eventually becomes so vast that it engulfs not only Lady Dimitrescu, but her courtyard’s gazebo as well. Needless to say, the end results are very amusing to watch.

It is a sad, but inevitable moment when players are forced to finally defeat Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. Despite her fairly swift exit from the game, however, she is in no small part to thank for Village’s ongoing success; A success that has even seen the castle’s bewitching mistress featured as a model for Domino’s Pizza, with the fast-food company piggybacking off the game’s universal appeal.

But while she may ultimately be gone from the story of Resident Evil Village along with her fellow lords, Lady Dimitrescu will not be forgotten. Thanks to fun mods, players will be able to go back and experience all of the horror filled delights of Castle Dimitrescu again and again, but with little extras like expanding headpieces to keep things interesting.

Resident Evil Village is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
