Resident Evil: Resistance is a game for making decisions quickly without any hiccups. To help players make decisions faster, this guide will help players customize their maps and decks. Resident Evil: Resistance is a unique multiplayer experience similar to games like Dead by Daylight. One player will take control of the Mastermind, the one assigned with the task of killing off all the other players and the Survivors, the players who must work together and use their brains to escape. This is a high-stress situation game, as one single mistake can cost the players the game. Shortcuts make it easier to adapt to certain situations on the fly. This guide will help players understand what it takes to customize maps and deck preset.

There are a few customizable aspects that can be changed for each player. In the case of Survivors, their Skills, Equipment, and Cosmetics can be changed. For Mastermind, Skills, Equipment, and Cosmetics can also be changed. Presets are helpful for players who wish to take this game very seriously. Each of these presets also has a specific ruleset each match needs to follow like the types of creatures that will spawn or the location of Puzzle Pieces in the game. There’s also a limitation to each factor as they carry a point cost. The total amount of points must be equal or less than the presets available. Here’s how to unlock presets.

Unlocking Presets for Maps and Decks in Resident Evil: Resistance

To unlock the presets in Resident Evil: Resistance, the player will need to play a few games without them beforehand. The player will need to reach rank 5 with Annette to unlock the Map Preset Feature. Here’s how presets can be set or changed per match.

•  Locations of Puzzle Pieces (Area 1) and Security Devices (Area 2).
• The types and locations of creatures at the start of the game.
• The types and locations of traps at the start of the game.
• Which doors are locked.

It is recommended to go through practice mode in the game to feel out each of these changes. Resident Evil: Resistance is a neat addition to the Resident Evil franchise. For the most part, several titles in the franchise are third or first-person shooters that focus heavily on the multiplayer aspect. Resident Evil: Resistance released alongside the remade Resident Evil 3. While the remake focuses on retelling the story of the original game, Resistance focuses on creating a new experience for its consumers. While the series has mainly focused on releasing remakes as it did with Resident Evil 2 and 3, it’s pleasant to see what new experiences Capcom can come up with. Hopefully, for the next mainline title, it will implement a game mode similar to Resident Evil: Resistance.
