Resident Evil Village Dimitrescu Cosplay Is Bug-Filled & Bloody

One cosplayer has expressed their love of Resident Evil Village and House Dimitrescu by creating a bug-filled and bloody homage to the game’s vampiric ladies. Resident Evil Village has been a huge success for Capcom. In the first four days of its release, it sold over three million copies, quickly making it one of the most successful entries in the Resident Evil series thus far. This success combined with sales of Monster Hunter Rise saw Capcom have its best-ever Q1 sales period in 2021.

Part of the success of Resident Evil Village lies with Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters. Lady Dimitrescu herself was a key figure in the marketing ahead of Resident Evil Village’s release, with her towering physique adorning the sides of buses and even commemorative beach towels. Her fame became so much that many found themselves inexplicably drawn to the icy villainess, something that even took mo-cap actress Maggie Robertson by surprise. However, on the game’s release, other characters were allowed their time to shine, and the Dimitrescu matriarch’s daughters soon developed their own legions of fans as well.

One such Resident Evil Village fan has expressed their love of the blood-lusting Dimitrescu daughters by cosplaying as Bela. Bela is the oldest of Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters, and the first to actually fight Ethan. Her blood-stained lips and ability to burst into a flurry of swarming insects make her an imposing foe, and yet  (much like her mother) there is something undeniably alluring about Bela’s presence in Resident Evil Village. This mixture of seduction and danger has been captured perfectly by PinkQT (and shared by Bamisaur on Reddit). Complete with jet black and blood-soaked lips, smudged eyeliner, forehead tattoo, and an abundance of creepy crawlies, PinkQT looks just like they have stepped out of House Dimitrescu’s wine cellar, having sampled some of the castle’s own “Sanguis Virginis.”

Dedications such as PinkQT’s are a testament to Resident Evil Village’s seamless blend of horror and engaging characters. With the enticing Dimitrescu family, the haunting Donna Beneviento and Village’s friendly merchant The Duke, the cast of a Resident Evil game has never been so varied, or as deliciously fun.

Fans are now patiently waiting for more news on Resident Evil Village’s DLC. While it has been confirmed to be in development, there have been no further details about what it will actually include in its eventual release. Many, however, are hopeful that it may encapsulate some aspect of the Dimitrescu Household once more before Ethan Winters made his way to the titular village.
