As players abandon the cold and enter the medieval castle Demitrescu in Resident Evil Village, they will quickly encounter the dangerous Lady Alcina Dimitrescu and her three daughters, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. Much like Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 Remake, the three Dimitrescu sisters and Alcina will often roam around the castle and torment Ethan whenever possible. However, players should know that until their actual boss fights occur, they are invulnerable to all damage from Ethan.

Although Lady Dimitrescu is the most powerful of these Resident Evil Village antagonists, the three sisters can be much more dangerous when roaming the castle as they are extremely quick and difficult to avoid. If they get close enough, they can perform an unavoidable bite attack on Ethan that will often see him drop dangerously low on health. Therefore, if players encounter the sisters while exploring, it is often a good idea to retreat somewhere safe until they give up the chase or try and rush past as quickly as possible.

Before facing the Dimitrescu sisters, it is recommended that players upgrade the damage on their weapons as much as possible. This will end up saving up Lei, aka money in Resident Evil Village, and resources in the long run, as players will require fewer bullets to defeat an enemy, and shortening the fights will decrease opportunities to take damage. Furthermore, players’ investments will start paying off as soon as they beat the sisters, as each will drop a Crystal Torso that can be sold to the duke for 5000 Lei.

How to Defeat the Dimitrescu Daughters in Resident Evil Village

How to Kill Bela in Resident Evil Village

Towards the end of the player’s foray into the dungeons of castle Dimitrescu, they will need to fight Bela, the first of the sisters. As soon as she appears, players must rush past her to reach the Chamber of Solace. There, a small cutscene will trigger that will have Ethan shoot out the window, which will let the cold air in and make Bela vulnerable. This fight can be one of the most challenging of the three, especially if playing on Village of Shadows difficulty, unlocked after beating Resident Evil Village, as players will have to fight Bela, and two adds in a very tight space.

Although it is possible to dodge most of her attacks, it is much safer to use blocks to mitigate her damage and keep a close distance to get off as many headshots as possible. Players can also break her combos by blocking and pressing the block key as soon as she hits Ethan. This will have the protagonist shove her away and allow players a few seconds to damage her. If playing on Village of Shadows difficulty, it is recommended that players use explosives or the shotgun, found early in Resident Evil Village, to kill her as soon as possible, as it is very difficult to navigate the small room otherwise.

How to Kill Cassandra in Resident Evil Village

Cassandra will appear to players in the armory behind the “Sanguis Virginis” Wine Bottle puzzle and will behave very similarly to Bela. The first thing players must do is move the bookcase on the left as they walk in and use an explosive to blow up the crack on the wall. If players do not have any explosives, they can pick up a Pipe Bomb on a table at the end of the room. As soon as the wall explodes, cold air will rush in and make Cassandra vulnerable.

After breaking the wall of Resident Evil Village’s castle, the fight itself will be almost identical to Bela’s but in a much more forgiving space. Players can use the center pillar to kite Cassandra around while slowly whittling down her health. If players wish, they can use the same strategy recommended against Bella, using block to mitigate damage and gain space while staying close enough to land easy headshots and conserve ammo.

How to Kill Daniela in Resident Evil Village

Daniela is by far the easiest of the three sisters, as patient players can easily beat this fight without getting hit even once. As soon as players enter the library, they should immediately head to the pillar on the other side of the room that has a lever on it and use it to open the skylight. Opening the skylight will expose the library to the weather, and the cold will make Daniela vulnerable.

After that, players just need to stand directly beneath the skylight and use the lever every time it is about to close. As long as they stay in the center of the room, Daniela will very rarely approach Ethan. Instead, she will try and stay out of sight by hiding and moving between the bookcases around the room. Players can step out to damage her whenever possible and retreat beneath the skylight to reload and escape her attacks. If Daniela is under the skylight when it is opened, she will be stunned for a few seconds, allowing players to damage her.
