Drew Sidora is teasing The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 drama and says some of her co-stars went “below the belt” with their shade. With new and returning faces coming in the new season, it looks like the ladies brought the heat. Drew is among the returning housewives following season 13’s “Strippergate” scandal. But with both Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams making their exits, fans have been wondering about the new cast dynamic. Marlo Hampton, Sheree Whitfield, and Sanya Richards-Ross were added to the mix, and Drew says things got real “spicy.”

With season 13 being filmed during the lockdown, the season received a lackluster response from viewers. Many felt the drama was stale and aside from the “strippergate” scandal, there weren’t too many shocking moments. In a possible effort to shake things up, a longtime friend of the show Marlo Hampton finally secured a full-time spot. She’s been known for being one of the most vicious shade throwers and has gotten into verbal spats with most of the cast over the years. Additionally, OG housewife Sheree was brought back just on the heels of her spouse being released from prison. Newcomer Sanya is a Jamaican track and field athlete who has already received rave reviews from some of her co-stars.

Drew is returning for her second season on the franchise and recently teased what fans can expect from the new season. “I will tell you that. It is going to be very spicy,” Drew told ET. She went on to share what her current relationship is like with the RHOA ladies. “I’m building a little more relationships with those individuals — certain ones — so I’ll say I know a little more in some areas and a lot of things, it’s f’ed up,” Drew said. But apparently, things took a left turn and created new feuds that Drew possibly wasn’t expecting. “It’s worse than I ever could have imagined,” she said. “It’s below the belt and yeah, it’s gone to some places I didn’t and I wasn’t prepared for.”

In season 13, Drew engaged in a petty feud with fellow newcomer LeToya Ali but managed to make it through her debut season without having to get too messy. But there’s an age-old claim that a housewives’ second season is never as friendly as their first. With Sanya coming in as the new face in season 14, Drew appears to have her back but might’ve bumped heads with her new co-star. “I think she’s definitely adding to the group,” Drew shared. “Getting to know her has been a journey. I’ll say that. It’s been a journey. It’s been an interesting journey.” The response hints at a possible rift between the ladies that viewers might get a chance to see unfold when the new season airs.

With Marlo securing her peach and Sheree returning, many fans are counting on them to help stir the pot. Kenya Moore will also be returning and will have to find herself a new target now that Porsha isn’t around. Drew says she is “excited” about the new cast lineup and thinks viewers will be too. The Real Housewives of Atlanta has a long history of being one of the most drama-filled franchises among the pack. With a big reputation to uphold, it looks like the ladies returned to their roots in season 14.
