After claiming she made the difficult decision to part ways with Real Housewives of Atlanta for season 13, NeNe Leakes now confesses it was officials at Bravo network who forced her out.

Earlier this month, Leakes shared on her YouTube channel that she wouldn’t be back for the new season, and flat out said it was her decision not to return. But when a fan recently asked via Twitter if Leakes would be getting her own show on the Bravo network, her response blew the lid off the truth after she said, “They don’t think I should work at all in any [capacity].” After another fan surmised it was the network who did the forced break up, Leakes responded, “They definitely did.”

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

There is no word yet from Bravo representatives as to the validity of Leakes’ recent statement accusing the network of dumping her, stated People magazine. At the time of Bravo’s original statement when Leakes first announced her departure, a Bravo representative commented, “We wish NeNe all the best in her future endeavors and thank her for sharing her journey for over a decade with the fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s been instrumental since the start and will truly be missed, and maybe one day she’ll hold the peach again.” Even executive producer of RHOA and Watch What Happens Live host, Andy Cohen, jumped on the oh-we’re-so-sad-to-see-her-go bandwagon. In crocodile tear-like praise of her on Instagram, Cohen said, “Nene Leakes is an icon of the genre. She is a gif and a catchphrase machine.”

Since Leakes’ initial announcement giving viewers the impression she decided to leave RHOA, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, Garcelle Beauvais, has indicated her hope that Leakes will join the RHOBH franchise. According to a Sept. 18 article in People magazine, Beauvais publicly tweeted, “Come help a sista out #RHOBH.” Her tweet was viewed alongside a news story of Leakes’ departure. Beauvais said during an episode of Bravo’s Daily Dish podcast that RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey gave Leakes some words of encouragement, should she hop aboard the West Coast franchise. According to Beauvais, “Cynthia, being as sweet as she is, was like, you know, ‘Have fun. They’re gonna love you. You’re gonna be great.’ She was very cool.”

But based on Leakes’ more recent statement implying Bravo wants nothing to do with her anymore, it doesn’t look like Beauvais will get her wish. Or maybe it’s Leakes who is purposely blowing smoke up everyone’s skirts. In the rest of her parting message to her YouTube fans when she originally announced her decision to leave the RHOA franchise she said, “I will see you again. Real soon.” Is Leakes keeping it real now with her Bravo kicked-me-to-the-curb schtick or will she be the new one styling and profiling alongside the trophy wives of Beverly Hills? Stay tuned!
