The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Yovanna Momplaisir finally admits on Instagram that she didn’t know Eva Marcille. Poor Eva endured a very awkward conversation at a couples’ dinner during season 11, but it looks like the truth is finally out.

Every season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has its fair share of drama, but season 12 had the savage-level turned up to 100. Harsh truths came out as well as some personalities viewers didn’t even know existed such as Cynthia bringing her catty “50 Cynth” side to the show. It looks like 2020 is a year of change for the ladies on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. February 2020 saw Yovanna take to Instagram to let her followers know that Eva was “so confused” by Yovanna saying they must have known each other. Yovanna added: “We’re so happy now, we’re best of buds.

The confusion over whether Eva and Yovanna knew each other began last series. Season 11 episode 6 saw Nene introduce Yovanna to the show as “one of her fun customers at Swagg.” Yovanna and her husband, Rick, attended a couples dinner thrown by Nene and Gregg Leakes. However, things quickly turned south as Yovanna seemed to be making the most of the opportunity to drink.

Yovanna wasn’t on top form as she said to her husband: “Tell that b*tch get me a drink,” referring to the waitress. Eva and Yovanna were introduced with the former model shaking Yovanna’s hand which clearly rubbed her up the wrong way. Yovanna was adamant at the dinner that she and Eva knew each other saying: “You’re really good friends with Tiffany who is my BFF.” A surprised Eva replied: “She’s at my wedding, that’s my very good friend.” Porsha Williams then asked: “How do ya’ll not know each other well if you share a very best friend?” Eva said she didn’t recall meeting Yovanna before, while Yovanna remarked that that was “impossible” adding: “I was that b*tch. I was Yovanna from Clark CAU.”

Couples’ night quite quickly started to turn into the dinner party from hell. Eva quite fairly made a point of saying that she couldn’t remember people she may have met 16 years ago and added: “There is absolutely no way I am going to hang out with anyone that opts to wear a flammable yellow dress reminiscent of a banana flavored condom.

The whole show continued on, as did season 12, without a word from Yovanna on the subject. It wasn’t until early 2020 that The Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer took to Instagram to tell the truth. As of May 2020, Yovanna is a confirmed housewife for season 13 of the show, so we’re surely about to see a whole lot more drama given Yovanna’s introduction to the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
