RHOBH: Delilah Hamlin Celebrates 6 Months Of Sobriety Following Overdose

Delilah Belle Hamlin, the eldest daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna and her actor husband Harry Hamlin, recently celebrated six months of sobriety following her accidental overdose. For the past few months, Delilah has been very candid about her struggles with mental health and her accidental overdose due to being overprescribed certain medications. Delilah went as far as to post a video online, telling her fans what has been going on with her health the past few months.

The model admitted she overdosed after she became dependent on Xanax and took an antihistamine while on the medication propranolol. After taking the antihistamine, she ended up in the hospital and realized she had overdosed. Delilah then revealed she was told to take a certain amount of medication that seemed too much to both her and her friends. She even attended a rehab facility to help her “come down” from the medications. Luckily, Delilah, whose honesty helped her fans, was able to make it past the hardships by getting sober.

On Thursday, Delilah shared to her Instagram Stories that she is six months sober after overdosing on a cocktail of pills in November 2021. “Hi! I’m six months sober!” Delilah sang into the camera of her phone while jumping with excitement. Delilah didn’t reveal what she is sober from, whether it was her medication, alcohol, or both. Nonetheless. Delilah seems to be looking a lot healthier since removing the toxins from her body. In November 2021, Delilah went live on Instagram, where she admitted she accidentally overdosed after she was overprescribed drugs by a doctor. Delilah explained the drug situation in a 28-minute long video, revealing she was taking the medications for several ailments she suffered from.

Some of the illnesses Delilah suffered from included migraines, panic attacks, and PANDAs, a pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated with streptococcal infections (via Page Six). “I wasn’t like a drug addict, but my body was dependent on it [Xanax] because of how much the doctor had prescribed me,” Delilah said during the video. She revealed after the overdose, Delilah checked herself into an Arizona rehab facility for three weeks. Luckily Delilah is doing much better and received an ambulance of support from her parents and followers online. Shortly after she opened up about her recent overdose, Delilah and Eyal Booker broke up after more than two years of dating.

Delilah has overcome her struggles with prescription drugs from the past few months and found getting sober was the best way to get healthy again. Her sobriety and recent breakup have allowed the model to become the best version of herself. Maybe Delilah will even make a short appearance alongside her mother on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsnext season.
