Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is reportedly having some money issues to the point of being behind rent payments, a source claims. Her financial struggles are the result of her ongoing legal battles involving her former husband Thomas Girardi’s embezzlement and fraud lawsuit indicating he allegedly stole funds from his former clients. However, Erika filed for divorce from Tom in November 2020 before the issues became public but she is still being dragged into her soon-to-be ex-husband’s mess.

The “Pretty Mess” singer is not having a great time at the moment, as the ongoing lawsuits involving Tom always find a way to sneak up on her, suggesting she was “aiding and abetting” Tom with the embezzlements of funds meant for his former clients. As Erika is known to live an extravagant lifestyle, the accusations don’t come as a surprise. However, Erika had to downsize by moving out of the $8.2 million Pasadena mansion she once shared with her estranged husband, to a $1.5 million rental in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, and Erika is working hard to make her own money with her Pretty Mess brand. The RHOBH star is not only facing accusations of knowing about Tom’s embezzlement, but also the fact that she is living larger than she is actually able to afford, as downsizing means different things for different people, and legal fees are expensive.

In a recent interview with Life & Style Magazine, a source close to the “Pretty Mess” singer told the media outlet, “She’s fallen behind on rent and is terrified that she’ll end up on the street before this whole ordeal is over.” Most of Erika’s money is going towards her lawyers to fight the lawsuits she has become a part of. “She’s having to spend every penny she has to defend herself,” the source continued. Erika has admitted to being terrified about what is going to happen to her in the near future but that she will remain strong.

Although Erika is filming season 12 of the RHOBH and launched her hair extension hairline, the Bravolebrity is going through some challenging times that require adjusting to a less lavish but more so modest lifestyle until the lawsuits are settled or until she’ll get dismissed by a judge. In hindsight, Erika is also worried she might have said too much on the RHOBH season 11 that the bankruptcy trustees of the Girardi Keese case are now also after her assets. Since the lawsuits involving Tom and his law firm have become public, Erika has been going through some dark times in her life at the moment.

It is fair to say that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Erika Jayne found herself in an ongoing pretty mess, that seems hard to escape, even though she got dismissed from a lawsuit in Illinois. The legal battles involving Erika and Tom look like it will go on for while, as there are many lawsuits that have been uncovered. Erika can only hope for the best and keep a low profile for now.
