After the news of her legal troubles, Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will no longer be a model for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line. Erika’s removal from the line comes just days after it was revealed she will have to pay Tom Girardi’s plane crash victims $11 million. The former lawyer reportedly embezzled millions of dollars of the families who lost loved ones in a 2018 plane crash.

The singer filed for divorce from Tom in November 2020 after more than 20 years of marriage. Shortly after Erika filed, news broke of Tom’s legal issues. So far, the reality star has yet to publicly comment on the matter, however, she has been insistent of her innocence. In fact, Erika plans on testifying against her estranged husband when the courts are ready. At this point, Erika wants to put the case behind her and is willing to do whatever she can to settle the legal issues.

As reported by The Sun, Erika will no longer be modeling for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie line. The 49-year-old’s six-month contract with the fashion line had recently expired, and Rihanna’s team decided not to renew it amid her legal scandal. A source close to the news outlet said Rihanna is a huge fan of both Erika and the show, so the team decided to have her be “an ambassador last year.” The reality was able to appear in their second fashion show and, “they were thrilled to have her on board.” After the scandal made headlines, “They have no current plans to work with her, there have been discussions, and at the minute they think it’s a bad look.”

Right now, Erika is taking a lot of the blame for Tom’s legal mess and getting too much negative press. “It’s unlikely she’ll be paid for promoting Savage x Fenty anytime soon,” the source confirmed. However, a second source close to Erika said Fenty did not drop the reality star, insisting they were very pleased with her work and that her contract was just simply over. Besides, Erika plans on launching her own lingerie line, so she won’t be able to sign anything with the company right now. The singer last shared a video of herself promoting Rihanna’s lingerie line in February 2021.

Rihanna’s Fenty team could not take a chance to be involved with someone who potentially stole millions of dollars from victims of a tragedy. Even though The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is claiming she is innocent, it is still difficult for brands to associate themselves with someone in Erika’s position.
