RHOBH: Everything To Know About Former Housewife Kathryn Edwards

Kathryn Edwards, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has had quite a compelling life story, to say the least. She joined the cast of the Bravo series mid-way through season 6 in 2015. Kathryn became part of the cast after she was invited to a charity event hosted by Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump. Rinna was the first one to greet Kathryn and immediately brought up her connection to OJ Simpson.

Kathryn’s relation to the former football player caused a lot of tension between her and Kyle Richards’ close pal, Faye Resnick. Faye wrote a memoir about her life following the death of Nicole Brown Simpson, OJ’s ex-wife, where Kathryn was reportedly mentioned. Kathryn and Faye had a bit of a back and forth with that issue, but they soon moved past it. Nonetheless, Kathryn became a non-trustworthy friend to Erika Jayne when she played both sides of the fence with her and Vanderpump, who she claims helped producers control storylines.

Before the 56-year-old was known as a housewife, Kathryn was a small-town girl from Wisconsin, according to BravoTV. She was born and raised there, which was evident in her down-to-earth midwest attitude portrayed on the Bravo series. After realizing she had big dreams outside of her small city, Kathryn decided to pursue a career in modeling. She even mentioned in an episode that she ran into Yolanda Hadid, who left the series the year prior, while the two were new models back in the day. One of her biggest breaks into the modeling industry was posing in Nike’s first “Just Do It” campaign. Other than modeling, Kathryn was notorious for her connection to OJ Simpson. Back in the ’90s, the former housewife was married to OJ’s best friend, Marcus Allen. The couple met in 1986 and were married in 1993.

A year later, after OJ was arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole, several rumors surrounding Kathryn’s ex began to surface. In Faye’s book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted, she accused Marcus of having an affair with Nicole before the pair were married. However, Kathryn has since dismissed the rumors and even confronted Faye about it on an episode of RHOBH. The former model remained married to Marcus until 2001 when they filed for divorce. In 2002, Kathryn met and married her now-husband Donnie Edwards, who was a football player for the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. After being out of the spotlight for so many years, Kathryn joined RHOBH in 2015. While she was one of the more memorable housewives, Kathryn only lasted one season.

Even though Kathryn only appeared on RHOBH for one season, she left quite the mark on the viewers. Her storyline was not only fascinating, but she wasn’t afraid to go up against the ladies, no matter their reputation or connections. Maybe one day in the future, Kathryn Edwards will make a return to the popular franchise.
