Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has a young daughter, Portia Umansky, and it’s time to talk about the teenager’s recent Bat Mitzvah. Portia has been appearing on RHOBH since she was two years old. She turned 13 in March, and the family was finally able to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah on October 2. Family, friends, and reality TV stars were in attendance at the circus-themed bash. There is plenty of information to share about Portia’s much-anticipated event.

Portia’s dad Mauricio Umansky was raised Jewish, and Kyle converted to Judaism when they got married. Portia goes to a Jewish day school and she studied a lot before her Bat Mitzvah ceremony. The service was held in front of family members at the synagogue. Later in the day, Portia celebrated the milestone with a party that featured 300 guests. The event was held in the backyard of Kyle and Mauricio’s mansion in Encino, California.

The Bat Mitzvah party for Portia was planned by Cobalt Events and had a fun circus theme called “Cirque du Portia.” The carnival decor was just the beginning, as there were jugglers on stilts, a tarot card reader, a life-size Ferris wheel, and fairground-style treats for guests to snack on. Partygoers chose sweets at the dessert table, which was put together by “Candy Queen” Jackie Sorkin. All of the treats had Portia’s name written on them. There was also a candy bar from RubySetGo! Since Kyle from RHOBH always has elaborate parties on the show, few will be surprised that this bash didn’t disappoint.

Portia wore an off-the-shoulder dress with light pink feathers on top, which “faded” into a magenta tulle skirt. She styled the look with earrings and a pearl necklace, not to mention a diamond tiara in her hair. Portia and Mauricio participated in a father-daughter dance in front of the crowd. Kyle and her older daughters, Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, and Sophia Umansky donned coordinating metallic dresses in different colors. The family danced to “Hava Nagila,” doing a traditional Jewish dance that is performed on important religious occasions. The Umanskys were lifted up in chairs (which frightened Kyle) and danced together in a circle with everyone at the party.

A handful of Bravo stars were invited to share Portia’s special day. David Parnes and James Harris from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles attended, as did former house husband, Paul Nassif. Kyle’s fellow RHOBH housewives Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, Teddi Mellencamp, Sutton Stracke, and Crystal Kung Minkoff also showed up to support Portia. As well, Kyle’s sister Kim Richards took part in her niece’s Bat Mitzvah, along with the rest of Portia’s family. DJ Cathy Michele kept the party going with a mix of dance hits. Hollywood Photo Booth captured photos of the festivities for guests to take home as keepsakes.

Kyle and Mauricio made a heartfelt speech, wishing Portia the brightest future. Kyle announced a surprise for Portia at the party. Evolution Media, the production company for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, made a video montage documenting Portia’s transformation from a child to a teenager on television. It was a great gift to show everyone on Portia’s Bat Mitzvah day. Bravo fans are hopeful that footage of the event will be featured in the upcoming RHOBH season. This was definitely a night that Portia will remember forever.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
