RHOC: Braunwyn & Fernanda Rocha’s Alleged Love Affair Explained

Braunwyn Windham-Burke from The Real Housewives of Orange County has kept a low profile since announcing her single status in April, but recent rumors have romantically linked her to alum Fernanda Rocha. Show fans had noticed the two hanging out with each other in recent months. However, no one expected them to be involved in an alleged affair.

The mother of seven took viewers on a whirlwind journey due to her love life over the last year. It was last summer when divorce rumors swirled after speculation mounted about her dating a woman. By the fall, Braunwyn revealed details about her and Sean Burke’s unconventional marriage, including the fact that she was allowed to date women. By December, she came out in an interview with GLAAD and revealed how she’s always liked women but still loves her husband. She said they want to stay together and raise their children as a family. By April, she called it quits with her girlfriend Kris. The split was reportedly due to Braunwyn’s desire to date other women.

It looks like she did just that because Braunwyn’s name is being mentioned with regard to another RHOC star’s divorce. Longtime fans can remember Fernanda kissing Tamra Judge in season six after she let her know she was interested. Now sources tell The Sun that Fernanda and Braunwyn “became friends through Tamra Judge,” before they “escalated into a sexual relationship.” At the time, Tamra revealed that Braunwyn has “been hanging out with Fernanda, who was on the show. I don’t know if she’s dating Fernanda. This is a new one, [but] they’ve been hanging out a lot.” 

Their friendship came after fitness instructor Fernanda’s wife Tessa Rocha filed for divorce in January. Since their split, sources say that Tessa is “really hurt” over the alleged fling her ex-wife is having with Braunwyn. “It has been really hard because it’s been really public, and it’s been shameless on their part,” the insider said. While the source notes that Braunwyn didn’t know Fernanda was married, it’s clear that there’s something there and it could potentially make its way to the show next season.  “Fernanda has always wanted to be famous,” the insider claims. “She’s always needed the limelight she had some regrets about her prior stint on the show.”

During her time on the show, Fernanda wasn’t received well by viewers. In a similar fashion, Braunwyn from The Real Housewives of Orange County rubbed fans the wrong way last season and was blasted at the reunion for allegedly offering Shannon Beador’s daughter drugs. If Braunwyn and Fernanda have linked up, they can possibly improve their reputations. The source said that Braunwyn has stayed silent about their alleged romance despite them being “very serious.“
