The resident villain of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Kelly Dodd, is being trashed for transphobic comments she made in a Cameo clip. This is not the first time Dodd has been called out for her extremely insensitive comments, and Bravo fans are happy to see her leave the franchise.

Dodd was fired from The Real Housewives of Orange County back in June, but she is still making a statement, even without her soapbox. Bravo decided to ax the full-time housewife after a season with very low ratings. Dodd had been called out for her controversial comments regarding the Black Lives Matter Movement and the worldwide pandemic. She told followers that the coronavirus was “God’s way of thinning the herd.” She also was caught wearing a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat at her bachelorette. While Dodd may have had some great made-for-TV moments, there is no room on reality TV for a woman of privilege behaving so poorly.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The brunette shocked fans with a recent Cameo that showed her questioning the social networks’ move to putting pronouns near user’s names. The Cameo video is still up and able to be seen for free after a fan paid $100 for her friend, “Jennifer,” to get a birthday shoutout. In the clip, Dodd seems to be intoxicated while speaking into the phone to Jennifer. While wearing a black dress, she told Jennifer that Cameo changed the layout saying, and they say, ‘”This is Jennifer she/her,’ I don’t get this. You’re either a boy or a girl, okay?”

Rick Leventhal also made an appearance in the video and seemingly backing up his wife’s statements. He noted that his new spouse has never cared about offending people. The disgraced housewife went on to wish Jennifer and a happy birthday while also partying hard herself. Dodd then went on to show her the expensive house and the view it boasted. After few more ranting thoughts, she ended her video by thanking her fan for buying the video.

Bravo fans were appalled by her sentiments and agreed that she was the epitome of ignorance. The Real Housewives of Orange County viewers have always noted that Dodd had hate in her heart. Many Bravo viewers felt she lives an unfortunate life and should take time to educate herself. Since Dodd’s departure, the network has announced that it will bring back Heather Dubrow. Frankly, Dodd’s firing couldn’t have come soon enough.
