Resident funny girl Shannon Beador of The Real Housewives of Orange County opens up about how it felt to be threatened by Heather Dubrow. At one point, both women seemed to be trying to rekindle their friendship. However, since news dropped of a possible lawsuit, Shannon and Heather have continued to butt heads.

Season 16 is well underway, and Shannon has once again found herself embroiled in a battle of wits with Heather. Shannon has had her fair share of trials over the years. Bravo viewers watched her go through a harrowing divorce from David Beador and continue to raise her three daughters. Shannon has often received viewers’ sympathy over her past eight seasons as a housewife. During her time on the show, Shannon has also been the butt of jokes and faced problems with fellow castmates like Kelly Dodd, who bopped her on the head with a mallet. Instead of becoming a shrinking violet, Shannon is more than ready to defend herself against bogus allegations.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Shannon recently sat down for a chat with Screen Rant and revealed what actually went through her head the moment Heather seemingly threatened her. Shannon felt like the entire interaction was an out-of-body experience, noting, “It was absurd. I think absurd is a good adjective to use. For viewers who watched the scene, Shannon’s face sported a semi-smile as Heather spoke. According to Shannon, she couldn’t help but smile because she was wondering how many times the former actress had practiced her monologue in front of the mirror. Viewers and Shannon both agree the scene was uncomfortable, with Shannon divulging, “It seemed very scripted with the syllable and annunciation.” In Shannon’s opinion, Heather was acting hypocritically since the plastic surgeon’s wife was essentially threatening her livelihood as well.

Shannon also stood firm in her feelings that Heather did threaten her. She shared that she did stand up for herself but admitted production cut out those particular conversations. Shannon made it very clear that she will be dealing with the excess drama at the upcoming reunion, saying, “I am not afraid of anyone. I’ve gone up against every single cast member pretty much, not that I wanted to. I don’t like arguing, but I am going to defend myself. I’m not afraid of anyone, certainly not Heather Dubrow.

The conviction with which Shannon spoke will have The Real Housewives of Orange County viewers dissecting the argument even further. Shannon is ready for the second half of the season to get underway, as she expressed that viewers will soon be able to see the fun side of her creep back out. While Shannon was unhappy with the amount of whispering behind her back, she is more than ready to put the drama behind her and continue the journey that is being a Real Housewife.

The Real Housewives of Orange County can be streamed on Hayu with new episodes every Thursday.
