RHOC: Vicki Gunvalson & Steve Lodge’s Relationship Timeline

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson dated her ex-fiancé Steve Lodge for five years before ending their relationship in 2021. Viewers saw the former couple’s relationship play out during Vicki’s final seasons on the Bravo reality series. Vicki revealed she met Steve while at a charity event in April 2016, and the two quickly hit it off.

The former Housewife was happy to find a man she could trust after what she went through with her ex, Brooks Ayers. Not only was Vicki in love with Steve, but her kids Michael and Briana approved of her new relationship. Steve seemed to be the perfect match for Vicki at the start, but it seems as though the relationship began to deteriorate shortly after the engagement. However, both of them seem to have moved on, as Steve is engaged to someone new and Vicki is also dating a new man.

Starting To Date In 2016

Vicki and Steve began their relationship in the spring of 2016, shortly after she ended her relationship with Brooks. The pair met while attending a charity event for the Boys & Girls Club in Anaheim, CA. Vicki spoke about her budding romance with Steve on RHOC at the time and how she finally felt like she found the one in Steve. Despite what some of her castmates said about their chemistry, Vicki truly believed Steve was the best partner for her.

Getting Engaged In 2019

After more than three years together, Steve got down on one knee and proposed to Vicki, who recently revealed she had cancer. The mother of two was very excited about her new life chapter and couldn’t wait to tell her costars on RHOC. During an episode in season 14, Vicki invited some of the ladies to her house, where she showed them her huge diamond engagement ring. The couple planned to tie the knot in April 2020, but the wedding was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they never ended up getting married since Steve started his run for Governor of California.

Breaking Up In 2021

In September 2021, Vicki and Steve announced their breakup after more than five years together. Vicki confirmed the news on her Instagram, explaining that the pair decided to move on from their long-time relationship. “There is no fault with either person, we are just going in different directions. I wish him the best life has to offer and to be happy, and he has wished the same for me,” she said. Since going their separate ways, Vicki has accused Steve of cheating on her with a woman in her 30’s and taking this woman to Vicki’s condo in Mexico. However, Steve has denied these allegations, claiming he and Vicki broke up in December 2020.

Vicki and Steve seemed to have a great relationship until their split a few months ago. However, since then, both Vicki and Steve have moved on. Vicki was recently spotted on a date with a new man, while Steve announced his engagement to 37-year-old Janis Carlson.
