Despite leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County after season 15, Kelly Dodd still manages to make headlines. Viewers were first introduced to Kelly at the start of season 11, through former Housewife, Meghan King. At first, the ladies were not very receptive to Kelly and were unsure if she was a good fit for the group. However, castmates like Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge began warming up to Kelly and enjoyed her addition to the group.

However, Heather Dubrow didn’t seem to agree, as she and Kelly clashed on more than one occasion. Heather didn’t appreciate the way that Kelly spoke to her and even threatened to leave the show after their first group dinner together. Heather’s disdain for Kelly was also evident in Ireland, during the bus ride to the airport. After season 11, Heather left The Real Housewives of Orange County, while Kelly stayed on for another four installments. However, viewers began to turn on her after season 15, leading to Kelly’s firing earlier this year.

Fans are curious about what Kelly has been up to since she left RHOC season 15. While Kelly is no longer on the show, the former reality star still loves to talk about her RHOC stint. She is constantly weighing in on the new season on her social media, and also in the press. Kelly recently spoke on Twitter about how low the ratings are this season, compared to when she was on the show. Andy Cohen replied back, claiming the “reboot is going great,” and to look at the “delayed numbers,” not who is watching live. Kelly continues to talk negatively about the reboot, despite sharing clips from the new season on her Instagram. In fact, the 46-year-old keeps up with RHOC, even though she is no longer a cast member.

She and her husband Rick Leventhal recap the new season of their new podcast, Rick & Kelly Unmasked. The couple announced they were coming out with a podcast in August 2021, shortly after Kelly was let go from RHOC. They officially launched their podcast on September 1, 2021, on Patreon, a podcast platform where creators get paid for their content. To become a patron, fans can pay $7 monthly for only the podcast, or $13.50-$33.50 monthly for other perks, such as a weekly interactive after-show online stream and free merchandise. On the show, Kelly and Rick talk about controversial topics regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccine, and also weekly recaps of RHOC season 16.

Despite getting fired, Kelly is still using RHOC to keep her name out there in the media. Not only does she constantly talk about the new season on social media, but she also recaps the show on her new podcast. When she isn’t gossiping about the show, Kelly spreads misinformation regarding COVID-19 and the vaccine. It’s safe to say that fans will not be seeing Kelly back on Bravo anytime soon.
