RHOD: Kary Brittingham’s Daughter’s Engagement Ring Size & Shape

However, it looks like brighter days are on the horizon, as she has her daughter’s wedding to look forward to.

Kary has a lot to be proud of when it comes to her children, especially her eldest daughter, Sofia. Earlier this month, the happy mom Kary revealed that her daughter Sofia had passed her real estate exam. This meant that she’d earned her real estate license. In April of 2020, Sofia was throwing her cap and gown in the air. Now, it looks like wedding planning will be a part of Kary and Sofia’s future.

Over the weekend, on May 9, Sofia announced that she said “yes” to her boyfriend Luke Petty. The big question was popped while the couple was in Mexico. Overall, the ring has a very regal and dainty look. The diamond is likely in the colorless range, and probably no lower in color than F on the GIA color scale. The diamond stands out as being very bright white against the warmer background of the yellow precious metal. For a stone of this size to be eye-clean (with no imperfections visible at first glance), it would need to be no lower than a VS2 GIA clarity. Sofia’s ring is likely closer to a VVS2, with an E-graded color. Comparable rings tend to sell for around $75,000 grand, although there are a lot of variables that determine the prices of fine jewelry.

Reality fans who don’t speak “fluent diamond” should know that the oval shape is the second hottest shape for engagement ring center stones, followed by the classic round diamond. Sofia’s ring is perfectly on-trend and popular with women in her age range.

As for Kary, she announced during The Real Housewives of Dallas reunion that she and her husband are going to divorce after 12 years of marriage.
