Alexia Echevarria has married Todd Nepola in St. Barths after The Real Housewives of Miami star’s initial summer wedding was postponed. Season 4 recently premiered and follows Alexia’s wedding planning journey. She’s working to get her eldest son Peter and fiance on one accord ahead of the wedding, but it’s clear that Peter and Todd are anything but friends. Alexia’s wedding day was initially scheduled to take place in August, though in a tragic turn of events, her mother passed away from Covid-19 on the same day.

Many were heartbroken for Alexia when she took to Instagram to reveal the tragic loss of her mom. Alexia recalled how much of a roller coaster ride she had been on leading up to her mom’s passing. “I was on the road to marry the man of my dreams when I had to stop everything as my mother became ill,” Alexia shared in a lengthy caption. She explained how what was supposed to be a day filled with love and joy turned into devastation. Alexia honored her mother’s life and the important roles she played in Alexia’s life. Losing a parent is already hard, but losing them on your wedding day is a complete blow to the heart.

As a result of the tragedy, Alexia had to postpone her wedding date until December. The reality star recently tied the knot in St. Barths in an intimate ceremony overlooking the water. Alexia and Todd exchanged their vows at the Eden Rock hotel. Alexia shared the big news in a heartfelt Instagram post. “This year has been a whirlwind to say the least, but finishing it off as Mr. & Mrs. gives me hope for the years to come,” Alexia captioned a wedding photo. Alexia looked stunning in her Muse by Berta gown and handcrafted Marielena headpiece and Aquazurra shoes.

Alexia says the ceremony was “perfect” and a dream come true for the mother of two. “It still feels like a dream I can’t even put into words,” Alexia told Us Weekly. “[It was] perfect for us! Truly everything we wanted. Just him and I … We look forward to celebrating with our friends and family in 2022.” With it being the third marriage for Alexia, she decided to do things more low-key this time around. The wedding didn’t include a giant guest list or wedding party. Alexia has experienced her fair share of marital woes and is likely looking to make her third marriage her last. On the show, Alexia is still working to answer questions surrounding the secret life her late ex-husband Herman Echevarria was living. She even went as far as scheduling a meeting with a man who is rumored to have been Herman’s lover prior to his death.

Alexia’s first husband Peter Rosello Sr., also known as  Pedro Peggy Rosello, was arrested for cocaine possession shortly after completing his interview as part of Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami. Pedro had been involved in the wild cocaine journey of drug kingpins Augusto Willie Falcon and Salvador Sal Magluta. In The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia talks about how much she thinks she finally found the one after years of not picking questionable men to settle down with. The only issue is getting Todd and Peter Jr. to get along.
