Peter Rosello, the eldest son of Alexia Echevarria from The Real Housewives of Miami, got his domestic violence case dismissed this week. Viewers have watched Peter and Alexia’s mother and son relationship on the Brovo-turned-Peacock series for the last four seasons of RHOM. Alexia has always had her son’s back, despite some of his wrongdoings from the past. She even stood by him after her now-husband Todd Nepola called Peter out for allowing his younger brother Frankie to smoke too much weed.

Despite Peter and Todd’s strained relationship, they managed to call a truce for the sake of Alexia and Frankie. However, Peter’s bad behavior isn’t something new to the RHOM fans. During the earlier seasons of the reality series, Peter showed the audience he isn’t this wonderful kid Alexia, who lost her mother to COVID-19, believed him to be. At that time, Frankie had recently been in an accident that almost took his life, and Peter was clearly acting out of anger and frustration.

Peter’s attorney Peter Heller confirmed to Page Six on Thursday that the recent domestic violence case against him has been dismissed. “After a pre-file investigation of the case by the State Attorney’s office, the decision was made not to file charges against Peter Alexander Rosello,” the attorney revealed to the news outlet. “There was no evidence to support allegations. The case was dismissed and is now closed.” The family is reportedly happy “Peter was vindicated by the justice system and they look forward to moving on.” According to PEOPLE, Peter’s unnamed girlfriend made the decision not to cooperate with the state of Miami, and therefore the case was dismissed. She refused to provide a statement regarding the incident with Peter, who threatened suicide following Frankie’s accident and even had the Stay Away Order dropped.

In a police report filed in January, Peter allegedly kneed the victim in the “crotch area,” causing her to fall to the floor. When she was on the floor, Peter allegedly kicked her once again. An eye-witness also revealed to the authorities that Peter pulled the victim inside of his apartment as she was trying to free herself from his grip. However, this isn’t the first time Peter had a run-in with the law. In 2012, the now-29-year-old pleaded guilty to attacking a homeless man, even striking a deal to keep him out of prison. In 2013, Peter was also arrested for possession of marijuana, which took place a year after he attacked the homeless man. However, his recent charge has reportedly been difficult on his mother, Alexia. Fellow RHOM costar Marysol Patton admitted Peter’s domestic violence case was “hard for her, obviously.”

Alexia must feel a weight off her shoulders now that she knows Peter’s domestic violence charges have been dismissed. The RHOM star has been through a lot in the past ten years and was hoping her new life with Todd would be drama-free. Peter’s vindication is the step in the right direction for Alexia.
