RHOM: Lisa Calls Out ‘Lies & Scams’ Amid Husband’s Malpractice Suit

Lisa Hochstein is calling out the “lies and scams” amid news of The Real Housewives of Miami star’s husband being sued for malpractice. Lisa’s plastic surgeon husband Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein made media headlines after he was slapped with his fourth malpractice lawsuit. Lenny is accused of leaving a patient in bad condition following a botched breast augmentation. Amid news of the lawsuit, Lisa appears to be subliminally defending her husband.

Dr. Lenny is hailed as Miami’s “Boob God” and Lisa takes pride in being married to the popular plastic surgeon. Lisa is a proud supporter of cosmetic enhancements and brags about how Dr. Lenny “built the perfect wife” in her season 4 tag line. While some viewers have expressed their concerns with Lisa and Lenny’s marriage dynamic, she chooses to stick by her man. During the season 4 reunion, she was asked about the state of her marriage and why Lenny came off disinterested in her during their filmed moments. Lisa ended up opening up about a time when Lenny told her that he wasn’t in love with her. But instead of leaving, Lisa stopped partying so much and once again stood by Lenny’s side.

Now, Lisa appears to be coming to Lenny’s defense once again amid news of his malpractice suit. On Monday, it was revealed that Lenny was slapped with his fourth malpractice suit by a patient who says her breast augmentation was so botched, she was left with necrosis and sepsis, Page Six reports. Patient Maylen Ortega filed a lawsuit claiming  Dr. Lenny and his team at Med Spa South Florida “failed to follow the prevailing standard of medical care required of medical professionals” in turn resulting in her botched breast job. However, Lisa appears to be subtly expressing her disapproval of the allegations. On Tuesday, Lisa sent out a tweet that appeared to be in response to the malpractice suit. “People lie so much,” Lisa wrote. “Time to start calling people out for their lies and scams.”

While Lisa could’ve been subliminally shading one of her co-stars, many assumed she was referencing her husband’s lawsuit. “Regarding housewives or Lenny’s latest lawsuit,” one fan asked. It’s the fourth time Dr. Lenny has been sued for allegedly botching one of his patients. In Ortega’s suit, she claims the day after her procedure she “began turning purple.” She also claims that after reaching out to Lenny’s office multiple times, she “was never attended to nor responded to.” Ortega claims she ended up in the hospital due to the “excruciating pain” she was in. She claims the botched job left her with permanent disfiguration and extreme scarring.

Ortega also says she suffered mental anguish and embarrassment. She is suing Dr. Lenny for $30,000 and a trial by jury. The new lawsuit comes after a patient sued him in August 2021 over claims she was left with a “deformed genitalia.” Another patient sued Lenny in June 2021 after a botched arm lift. The Real Housewives of Miami husband has denied the latest claims saying no malpractice was inflicted on the patient. Lisa is seemingly standing by her man but she could also be teasing drama for season 5.
