Danielle Staub is a Real Housewives of New Jersey bad girl who was ordered to vacate her ex-husband’s NJ mansion after a vicious divorce. She is no stranger to controversy and legal drama. Even with the series on hiatus, Staub has made headlines.

Per Staub’s divorce settlement, the raging reality star had to purchase the property and furnishings for $2.15 million by April or vacate the home, which was solely owned by her former husband of only 10 months, Marty Caffrey. After Staub was denied the right to block the showings, Caffrey was able to quickly unload the high-priced home, which has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, for nearly $2.2 million. The sale of the mansion happened on July 7th. Because of COVID-19 fears and ongoing protests, the home received multiple offers from families looking to leave New York City.

After fighting to remain in her ex-husband’s 7,500-square-foot New Jersey home, Staub was ordered to leave by June 20th or be forced to exit by the Sheriff. Like a true Real Housewife, though, Staub, in a desperate attempt to stay in the home, had a full-blown fit in court. Staub also attempted to use Coronavirus as her reason for needing to stay in the home, saying that she would have nowhere to go and would be homeless. The judge not only denied her cries, screams, and pleas, but also ordered her to pay Caffrey $50,000 from a previous loan. According to a report by AllAboutTheTEA.com, Staub’s 22-year-old daughter, Jillian (and at least 10 of her college friends) helped Staub to move out of the house. While there, Jillian’s friends also harassed (and tried to intimidate) Caffrey, who was at the mansion along with the buyer’s appraiser. According to the source, Caffrey nearly called the cops. Since moving out, Staub has avoided being fully homeless, though, by crashing on a friend’s couch. Lately, she’s been posted about “moving on”, as in the Instagram post below.

For Staub, legal issues and bitter divorces seem to go hand in hand. Back in 1986, Staub, who was once married to Kevin Maher, an FBI informant, was arrested and received five years’ probation, after cooperating with authorities. Later, Maher twice sued Staub for defamation and making false allegations against him in her 2010 autobiography, The Naked Truth.

In 2009, Staub joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, where she appeared in the first two seasons, but did not come back for season three. However, the tough Jersey girl later returned to the series as a recurring cast member in seasons eight, nine, and ten. Her reemergence on the show, while lasting longer than her marriage to Caffrey, ended as well, as, Danielle Staub announced in January 2020 that she would be leaving the show again. Without a home and no longer part of RHONJ, Staub, who has been married three times and engaged 21 times, seems to have a knack for bouncing back.
