Melissa Gorga is revealing the state of her marriage with Joe Gorga after an extremely difficult season. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star had a rough go during the last season, and it looked like there could have been trouble in paradise. Fans are hoping that their marriage is holding up and won’t crash and burn.

Since season 3 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Joe and Melissa were envied by most viewers and his sister, Teresa Giudice, because of their ever-lasting love. The love birds have been married for 16 years, but their love often came at a price. Teresa and Joe Giudice often put them through hell, and they even came to blows. Teresa’s friend, Kim D, tried to set Melissa up, accusing her of working as a stripper. Even through the downs, the two seemed meant for one another. But as the seasons wore on, the couple started to show cracks in their foundation.

Now, Melissa is giving an update on where her marriage stands today after the reunion aired. While speaking with Us Weekly, she shared how she and her husband were doing, saying they are “still learning each other.” Bravo fans will recall that Melissa wanted to be more than a housewife, but Joe really just wanted a homemaker to raise the children while he went out and earned the money.

The 42-year-old shared that her husband is not great with any sort of change, revealing that the contractor always likes to know what is going on. Melissa told readers, “But for me, I’m all about change right now.” The Jersey couple would usually watch the season together, but for Season 11, they skipped the viewing parties entirely. The recent episodes showed Joe struggling with coming to grips as his wife chose work over him.

Melissa made it clear that her husband is proud of all she has accomplished, but he would prefer she stayed home. That being said, the mother of three is not willing to give up her newfound freedom. Season 11 forced the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple to look at their relationship head-on, and they did not like what they saw. The duo is set to return for the 12th season and has been seen shooting with the rest of the cast. Hopefully, by then, both Melissa and Joe would have worked out their marital differences.
