RHONY: 9 Plastic Surgery Procedures The Cast Has Admitted To
Like many Housewives in the Real Housewives universe, the women of The Real Housewives of New York are honest about the plastic surgeries that they’ve had done, along with their insecurities. For many of these cast members, watching themselves on TV making memorable moments for all these years has stirred up things that they want to work on physically.
It doesn’t make it easier for Housewives when fans and haters go on social media to specifically talk about the way they look. Regardless of the naysayers, these Housewives feel confident in their skin after getting plastic surgery and hope others feel similarly.
9 Ramona Wanted To Feel “Perkier”
As open as she is on TV, there are plenty of things that RHONY fans don’t know about Ramona Singer. Over the years, Ramona looked younger and younger, leaving fans scratching their heads wondering what work she’s had done. And luckily for them, Ramona has been open about her transformation.
In a blog, Ramona said, “I am over 50, let’s face it, gravity hits. It wasn’t hitting that badly, but I wanted to look perkier. I wanted to be perky the way I was in my 30’s.” She got a breast augmentation after her divorce to feel “sexier” and she also got an eye lift along with fillers and Botox, according to The Sun. When asked if she was getting anything else done in the future, Ramona said she was focusing on “working out and staying fit” to bypass any more surgeries.
8 Leah Loves Her Upgrades
Leah McSweeney is one of the newer Housewives in the franchise. After making a splash in season 12, she had a controversial second season with the other women. Sadly, the seasons Leah that has been part of have been some of the lowest-ranking seasons.
Regardless of the future of RHONY, Leah was transparent with her surgeries. Heavy reported that McSweeney got rhinoplasty in 2020. On Instagram, she told everyone the reason she had black eyes was, “I got a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty. I could not be happier.” In that same year, Leah also gifted herself a “Xmas boob lift and augmentation,” which she also praised throughout the season.
7 Sonja Showed Off Her Facelift
Sonja Morgan is as honest as they come on RHONY. Despite some of the fights Sonja started or her dependence on her ex-husband’s name, RHONY fans support Sonja and wish her a better future.
Sonja’s looks have remained the same for years but she recently began making subtle changes. In the summer of 2020, Sonja told her fans on Instagram, “There’s been speculation around my fresh new look. I got a lower facelift and neck lift after wrapping Season 12,” according to The Sun. That same year, her plastic surgeon said that Sonja also had a “liquid nose job,” which is just fillers injected into the nose to change certain aspects, according to Page Six.
6 Dorinda Loves Her Facials
Dorinda Medley tends to go too far at times due to her blunt delivery and no-nonsense attitude. However, she makes terrific reality TV, and fans miss seeing her on their screens.
From her first season to her last, Dorinda looks similar to when fans first met her but more youthful. And according to Bravo, this could be because of a Skintyte Facial procedure she had in 2019. Dorinda told Bravo that the treatments are meant to “tighten, brighten, and lift my lower face and neck.” The non-invasive treatment allowed Dorinda to go about her life without downtime.
5 Bethenny’s Famous Jawline
Fans love Bethenny Frankel’s iconic RHONY lines. It’s her quick wit and sassy remarks that made her an incredible Housewife.
Since season 1, however, Bethenny has changed physically in her face. She started with a beautiful square jawline that has since gotten smaller. In an interview with Life & Style, Bethenny said, “I do look different. I’ve had Botox in my jaw.” And aside from a breast augmentation and a breast lift that she had years prior, she claims to have never had “invasive plastic surgery.”
4 Jill Loves A “Botox Bath”
Jill Zarin is one of the most loved former RHONY cast members. She had such a deep connection with the other women that it made the storylines more authentic. It’s been years since Jill was in front of the cameras but fans still follow her on social media. Like her friends, Jill continues to look younger.
In 2011, Jill admitted to People, “I have a liquid facelift every six months.” The liquid facelift doesn’t require knives because it’s solely injectibles. Jill has also admitted to getting Botox on her forehead and her neck for over a decade. “I’m scared I’m going to get a turkey neck,” she joked.
3 Kristen Was Open About Her Breast Enhancements
Kristen Taekman was a Houswife for two seasons before cutting ties with Bravo. The former supermodel was great for TV but didn’t have any depth with the group. Nevertheless, some could say that Kristen was a Housewife who left the show too soon.
Those who follow Kristen on social media have noticed small tweaks about the Housewife. In 2021, Kristen admitted to having a breast augmentation on Brandi Glanville’s podcast. “I’ve had two kids and breastfed. I needed new ones. They look and feel so much better,” she said, according to Radar Online. Kristen also alluded to her husband buying her the augmentation for their wedding anniversary, reminding viewers that they’re still going strong.
2 Dorinda Also Dabbles With Botox
Dorinda isn’t just a fan of facials, she’s also a fan of other procedures that don’t require a person to go under anesthesia. “I get, like, the Botox for the lines, twice a year I do that. But I’m not really big into surgery,” she said according to Real Self. Sharon Grasso, Dorinda’s aesthetician from Permanent Touch Cosmetics, even noted that “Dorinda is my most natural Real Housewife, to be honest.”
Aside from Dorinda’s face, she noted in an episode at a spa that she had a breast augmentation years ago. The results were so natural that Housewife Leah McSweeney had no idea.
1 Luann Enjoys Her Botox
Luann has made plenty of shocking decisions over the years on RHONY, but major plastic surgery has never been one of them. Luann has never outwardly said what kinds of plastic surgery enhancements she has or hasn’t gotten, but she has been honest about Botox.
According to The Daily Mail, when Luann spent more time in Florida because of he ex-husband, she showed off her time getting Botox with other Real Housewives stars on social media.
