Heather Thomson is sounding off on The Real Housewives of New York City and confirming the alleged racist remarks that Ramona Singer made about Eboni K. Williams. While explaining why she decided to distance herself from RHONY, Heather blasted Ramona and seemingly addressed speculation surrounding Ramona’s alleged racist behavior behind the scenes. Heather claims that Ramona did make the racist comment about Eboni and producers chose to edit out the controversial remarks. Not only has Ramona not been fired for her alleged racism, but Bravo also conducted an investigation and claimed that no evidence was found to support the claims. Alas, Heather is saying that Ramona is guilty.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Ahead of Ramona and Luann de Lesseps’s appearance on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, shocking reports accused Ramona of saying something extremely racist about Eboni. The attorney and news commentator was cast as RHONY‘s first Black housewife. During an exchange between the RHONY season 13 cast, Ramona was accused of saying “This is why we shouldn’t have black people on the show.” While Ramona denies the claims, Heather is coming forward with her version of events and threw Ramona under the bus in the process.

Heather recently revealed why she is putting RHONY behind her due to how toxic the show is. She also called out Ramona and confirmed that she did in fact make that racist remark about Eboni. “I was there and I heard Ramona say that and I freaked out,” Heather told Page Six. Her confirmation comes after Ramona said that the accusations against her were a “terrible lie.” Bravo’s internal investigation seemingly supported Ramona’s claims, but Heather says that the investigation wasn’t thorough and didn’t lead to any consequences or solutions for Ramona. “Bravo said there was an investigation. To my knowledge, they’ve never offered or required unconscious bias or sensitivity training to the cast or producers on the show ever,” Heather explained.

Despite being a firsthand witness to Ramona’s alleged racism, Heather says that she was “never asked” to take part in any training. “Do they know and care about the effects [the show] has? It’s nonsense,” she added before accusing the show of being more interested in money than people. When asked if she thinks that Ramona has an issue with people from diverse backgrounds, Heather asked, “What do you think?” Despite all the controversial claims against Ramona and her behavior on the current RHUGT spin-off, however, the OG housewife is still in good standing with the network. The RHONY season 13 reunion was canceled and production for season 14 has been put on pause due to the racist claims against Ramona, but Bravo has made no mention of getting rid of Ramona thus far.

Instead, it looks like Bravo is actively holding out to decide what Ramona’s fate will be. While some housewives have defended Ramona from being labeled a racist, the reports against her don’t help. Kenya Moore called Ramona a “jerk” but not racist. However, viewers have noted how much more aggressive Ramona appears to be toward Kenya than anyone else. Ramona also admitted to watching other Real Housewives shows but not the one that Kenya is on. Given all of her questionable and controversial antics on and off the show, many fans believe it’s time for Ramona to go. With The Real Housewives of New York City currently being on hold, producers appear to be using the hiatus to determine if Ramona will return for another season.
