The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger has landed her own family spinoff show. She’s not the first Bravoleb to get her own show. Other housewives such as Porsha Williams and Bethenny Frankel have had their own Bravo spinoff shows in the past. Usually, they merely take a break from filming their respective shows to do a spinoff, so the Grand Dame isn’t going anywhere.

When fans first met her in 2016 during season 1 of the show, she was portrayed as the Queen B of the franchise. In fact, she even named herself the “Grand Dame” of Potomac and her husband, Ray Huger “The Black Bill Gates.” When other cast members like Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby didn’t act like she thought they should, Karen would be the woman to call them out on their “inappropriate” behavior. The Potomac OG has been married to her husband for twenty-five years and shares two children Brandon Huger Rayvin Huger. Karen and Ray’s 17-year age gap was never an issue in the past since Karen was busy raising their children but once she became a businesswoman, as seen on the show, Ray wasn’t too happy about it. During season 5, the couple was very real about the troubles their relationship was facing. There was such a big disconnect between the two that Ray went as far as to say that he thought he was in love with Karen during a couple’s therapy session. However, the darkness seemed to pass as Karen and Ray celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal during the current season of RHOP.

Now the Grand Dame has her own spinoff show to dig even deeper into her life, per TV Deets. Although Bravo has not confirmed or denied if these reports are true, inside sources revealed information about the show, including pictures from production. The show follows Ray and Karen’s relationship while also focusing on their relationships with their children, something that RHOP rarely does. Brandon is an analyst who graduated from Morehouse College and Georgetown University and their daughter, Rayvin, currently lives in New York and is quite the fashionista. It’s unclear how the show will weave in their stories since they all live fairly far apart.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Porsha’s spinoff show, Porsha’s Family Matters airs at the end of November. According to reports, Karen’s spinoff show will debut sometime in early 2022, way before the premiere of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 7. Since Bravo has yet to make the official announcement about the show, Karen has yet to comment on her new spinoff. The last part of The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion airs next week, so maybe it will be announced then.

Her castmates may have mocked her self-titled nickname but Karen has continuously proved that she is in fact the Grand Dame of Potomac and this spinoff is the icing on top of the cake.  The Potomac OG is witty and funny when she isn’t involved in drama so it will be entertaining to see her in her family dynamic. Hopefully, Karen throws shade to her kids and husband just as hard as she does to her castmates.
