Whitney Rose from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has had to defend herself after her friend Sara was seen attending the Capitol coup. The housewives have been faced with backlash, thanks to her actions. This has prompted some to clarify their stances on social media.

Whitney and Jen Shah have had to take to their respective platforms to rebuke their costar, Sara McArthur Pierce, who posted to her Instagram that she had made the trip to the Capital for the coup. Whitney, who was seen in last week’s episode with Sara, put out her statement in a post that read, “I am devastated by the events that took place at the Capitol on Wednesday. I was not there and DO NOT support it. Humanity needs more love and kindes right now. Let’s stop the hate.”

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

There have been multiple Bravo fans’ social media accounts that have shared pictures of Sara at the event. In the photos, Sara is seen smiling with a bunch of Trump protestors right before the raid on the building took place. The housewife also sported a beanie with an American flag. She recently turned her profile to private after sharing videos and photos from the event. The friend of the Salt Lake City housewives shared that she and a group of women traveled from SLC to DC.

Before turning her profile to private, she also had “patriot” in her bio. Fans have pointed out that even though Whitney may not have been at the Capitol, she did attend the Sturgis motorcycle rally and super spreader event where she was seen partying maskless with Sara. Bravo fans feel that even though she may have released a statement about the coup, she still could be a MAGA housewife.

While there was a rumor that Sara was at one point a full-time cast member, she was allegedly axed for her radical political beliefs. There were also pictures of her wearing ‘Q’ clothing, which many feel shows her support for the QAnon conspiracy. It is important not to let cancel culture control the narrative, but when an attack on democracy occurs and the participants are reality TV stars, they need to be held accountable. More importantly, the networks, fans, and fellow costars have to show that they will not tolerate domestic terrorism in the slightest or anyone who supports it.
