Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has officially signed up for a new feature film project in the form of Netflix drama Plus/Minus. Emerging in 2010, the Ohio-born actress enjoyed a number of roles on screens both big and small. Those included a brief recurring role on the Fox comedy Surviving Jack. Her big break, however, came via The CW’s surprise hit in 2017. As the Archie Comics character, Betty Cooper, Reinhart has served as a popular element of Riverdale for five seasons — offering a fresh and multifaceted take on the role.

Reinhart rapidly channeled Riverdale‘s success to secure even more movie work. She enjoyed a prominent role in Hustlers, starring opposite Jennifer Lopez. She also starred in and executive produced Amazon’s Chemical Hearts. According to THR, however, Reinhart has already lined up her next film project. Directed by Wanuri Kahiu, Reinhart will star as Natalie in the time-bending drama titled Plus/Minus. Working from a script by April Prosser, Reinhart will once again also serve as an executive producer. The film will release via Netflix and gift Reinhart as much a chance at dual, distinct roles as Riverdale has with Betty and Dark Betty.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Renewed for a sixth season, Reinhart’s work on Riverdale has been set to continue. Conversely, no release date for Plus/Minus has been announced. However, the official synopsis released by Netflix reads:

On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s life diverges into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her Texas hometown, the other in which she moves to L.A. to pursue her career. In both journeys throughout her 20s, Natalie experiences life-changing love, devastating heartbreak, and rediscovers herself.
