Biopics about famous musicians are always popular with fans, telling the stories of their careers and personal lives in detail. Rocketman is a musical movie about the life of Elton John, and it is a lot of fun to watch, with his classic songs sung throughout the movie.

With a biopic, the right casting is crucial, as the actors need to be able to portray real-life people to the best of their abilities. From how they look to their body language, it’s an important element and one that this movie got right. But while the cast all did a great job playing these particular roles, where else can fans see them?

10 Gemma Jones: Harry Potter Franchise – Available On USA Network

Gemma Jones takes on the role of Elton John’s grandmother in Rocketman, an important role in the movie. Unlike other members of Elton’s family, she is someone who believes in his musical ability right from the start and is someone who treats him kindly and with love.

It’s a role Gemma plays well, but fans of her work likely know Gemma from the Harry Potter franchise. She appears in several movies as one of the Hogwarts teachers, Madam Poppy Pomfrey, who is responsible for healing and helping ill students.

9 Bryce Dallas Howard: Jurassic World Franchise – Available To Rent On Apple TV, Amazon Prime & More

Bryce Dallas Howard is another actor who takes on a role as a member of Elton John’s family, as she plays Sheila, Elton’s mother. She is someone who can be kind at times, but she also has a tendency to not always be too connected to her son.

Bryce is one of the biggest names involved in the movie, and as an actress, she’s been involved in some huge movies, but Jurassic World is the one she’s best known for. The revamp of the franchise saw Bryce play Claire Dearing, who is the manager of the dinosaur theme park where all the action takes place.

Aside from Rocketman, Tom has appeared in a range of television shows, often popping up for just a couple of episodes. One big show he’s been in is After Life, where he can be seen in the pub as one of the psychiatrist’s friends, who is very over the top with his humor.

6 Stephen Graham: Line Of Duty – Available On Amazon Prime, Fubo, Hulu, & Hoopla

Stephen Graham’s character is named Dick James and is Elton John’s original publisher and in charge of the singer’s first record deal, despite his initial reservations.

Madden’s two major roles are contrasting ones. In Rocketman, he portrayed John Reid, who is one of the least likable characters in the movie. Initially starting out in a relationship with Elton, he ends up becoming his manager and turns Elton’s life upside down with his behavior and lack of care for him.

However, in Game Of Thrones, Richard portrayed one of the major heroes in the series. He was Robb Stark, who tried to push and lead the North in a revolt, and someone who everybody gets behind, only for a major betrayal to cause problems.

One of his biggest roles aside for this movie is something completely different, though, as he plays the superhero, Ben Grimm/The Thing in the 2015 version of Fantastic Four. The character is one of the most iconic in the comic book world, and the role saw him work with motion capture, as well.

1 Taron Egerton: Kingsman: The Secret Service – Available On Fubo, FX Now, & DirecTV

Taron is someone who has been on the rise for several years now, and a big reason for that is his role in the Kingsman franchise. Playing Eggsy, his life is transformed when he becomes an agent with the Kingsman organization, in a movie that blends spy tropes with comedy.
