Season 13 finalist Kandy Muse revealed that she almost dropped out of the grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The thirteenth season of the popular reality show concluded on April 23 with a Lip Sync For The Crown between the show’s final four queens. Kandy competed against fellow fan-favorites Gottmik, Rosé, and Symone. Ultimately, Kandy finished in second place behind America’s Next Drag Superstar, Symone.

Kandy Muse earned her spot in the final lip sync thanks to her exuberance of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. However, certain Drag Race fans spit their opinion on the New York City drag queen. While Kandy Muse received lots of praise throughout the season, she unfortunately also had some of the loudest critics. The star fell victim to backlash after a season-defining fight with fellow queen Tamisha Iman. The winner of the roast challenge revealed on Twitter that she almost denied herself the chance of proving all those haters wrong.

Recently, Kandy Muse made a shocking confession and uttered a positive affirmation to the people that helped her compete in the ratings high grand finale. “While getting ready for the grand finale, I was going through such a difficult time behind closed doors in my personal life,” confessed the runner-up. Kandy continued to share how her personal life affected her: “I almost pulled out of the finale because I was unable to handle all the stress.” On the other hand, Kandy also made sure to thank her fans for helping her overcome the stresses in her life and giving her the confidence to perform. “You all make it so worth it. Thank you,” affirmed Kandy Muse.

Kandy Muse gave the fans much to talk about during the Drag Race season 13 finale. The star showed three stunning looks in addition to two entertaining Britney Spears lip syncs. The MTV Awards-nominated reality star started a YouTube channel where she has been uploading fun collaborations. Collaborators include season 13 sister Gottmik as well as Patrick Starrr, Kandy Muse’s Snatch Game inspiration.
