RuPaul’s Drag Race: Kandy Muse Reveals Finale Secrets In New Interview

Star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Kandy Muse offered fans some fun behind-the-scenes tea from the season 13 finale. The New York City queen recently gave an interview with Logo and dished all about her season thirteen experience. She also provided some inside scoop in a quick Q&A on her Twitter account. Muse discussed friendships, rivalries, and the show’s epic drive-in finale.

Muse won over the Drag Race judges and fans as she competed on the latest season of the reality competition. The performer made it all the way to the final four winning one main challenge and lip-syncing for her life three times. The experience paid off as Kandy won the first lip sync of the finale, securing a spot in the top two. Muse lost to America’s Next Drag Superstar Symone in the final lip sync. However, the finalist is happy with the end of her journey.

“I don’t regret anything I’ve done in the entire season,” said Muse about her finale. Muse insisted she got the song and opponent she wanted. “I did not want gimmie more,” confessed Mused, who lip-synced to “Work B***h.” She continued, “I wanted a real battle so even if the wheel had landed on me and I got to pick the queen I would have gone up against, I still would have picked Rosé.”

Muse called the season 13 finale “one of the best in Drag Race history.” She admitted that the stakes were high going into the big day. “How can I outdo myself without doing too much?” pondered the winner. “We can perfect throughout the season and then get to the finale and f**k it up,” said the star to Logo, “It is a lot of pressure going into the finale.”

Muse revealed the status of her relationships with the other queens. “I haven’t spoken to Tamisha since we wrapped filming, but I don’t hold any grudges against her,” said Muse about the queen she got into an award-worthy fight with. Speaking about her crush on Joey Jay she admitted, “[We] tried a few things and we would travel back and forth, but we are just two very busy things.” She also shared that she and drag mother Aja are “really good.” The two previously were not talking.

Muse achieved a great amount of success through RuPaul’s Drag Race. The drag race legend said she was ready to celebrate with her NYC sisters Rosé and Tina Burner. She also shared the whole cast of season 13 is getting matching tattoos. Muse revealed she already got hers.
