RuPaul’s Drag Race: RuPaul’s Best Ever Looks On The Runway

VH1’s massively successful reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race is in season 13 and shows no signs of slowing down, especially when it comes to head judge and creator RuPaul Charles’ fashions. RuPaul is known for being one of the most famous (and most stylish) drag queens in the world. RuPaul rose to prominence in the ’90s, with the release of the single, Supermodel (You Better Work).

RuPaul is known for more than his music. In drag or out of drag, he’s all about jaw-dropping fashions. That is mainly due to his long-time collaboration with fashion designer, Zaldy. They met in a nightclub in New York City in the late ’80s, and the rest is herstory. Zaldy has designed RuPaul’s looks since Supermodel. Zaldy will be creating RuPaul’s looks for All-Stars 6, which will stream on Paramount Plus.

Over the years, audiences have seen hundreds of looks. However, some of them stand above the rest. One stunning outfit was featured in the season 10 promo. It was a catsuit that Zaldy designed while attending the Burning Man festival.

RuPaul killed in this look and fans ate it up. No matter the runway occasion, RuPaul and Zaldy bring it to fans every single time. Some looks are edgy and others are immaculate and delicate. There are also looks that are gleeful send-ups to classic fashion and well-known trends. Take, for instance, the outfit shown below. It makes RuPaul a true vision in gold. It was for the runway theme, “Gold on the runway,” and it was fabulous. RuPaul built an entertainment empire and knows the references and herstory inside and out.

The necklace sells the entire outfit shown above, so Zaldy styled the look perfectly. It is no secret that RuPaul has a team. This glam squad includes a wig person, a make-up artist, and Zaldy. Together, this team has won several Emmys for its efforts. Season 13 is proving to be a particularly glam season, with some impressive top runway looks so far.

RuPaul’s Drag Race shows no signs of slowing down and has spawned several spin-offs. The immensely successful partnership between RuPaul and Zaldy is evergreen, and as long as RuPaul has Zaldy by her side, stellar looks will be brought to the runway every time. To quote Paris is Burning, “Why y’all gagging so? She bring it to you every ball.” RuPaul and Zaldy bring it out during every single episode. Hopefully, fans get to see more looks in upcoming years, as RuPaul’s Drag Race continues to dominate the airwaves.
