RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: Everything To Know About Tia Kofi

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Tia Kofi is one of the most charismatic and lovable queens to compete on season 2. The fans were not necessarily expecting All Stars-level looks when they hopped over to watch Drag Race UK, but certain queens did surprise the viewers with fantastic makeup and over-the-top outfits. With that said, the series definitely puts a much higher focus on delivering performances and having a sense of humor. Thankfully, the contestants have plenty of talent and zingers to keep the viewers coming back.

In week 3, Tia Kofi and Asttina Mandella fell into the Bottom Two on Drag Race UK and had to lip sync to Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”. Thankfully, Tia Kofi lived to fight another day, but it doesn’t mean that this season hasn’t been pretty hard on her so far. The queens have often expressed their negative opinions on Tia’s clothes and overall drag, making even Tia second-guess her own taste level and abilities. In any case, the fans have already fallen in love with Tia Kofi and her great – and very honest – confessionals.

Now a fierce RuPaul’s Drag Race UK fan-favorite, Tia Kofi is 30 years old and originally from Essex. She now lives in London, where she works as a booked and busy drag performer. The Tia Kofi name is an obvious play on the question “tea or coffee?” which is very British of her. This queen of Nigerian descent is known for often referencing sci-fi shows like Doctor Who and Star Trek. Overall, Tia considers herself a comedy queen who always leans in on the campiness. With that said, she also wants to prove that she can turn some looks and look gorgeous while she’s at it.

Things haven’t been easy for Tia Kofi on Drag Race UK up until this point, but the fans are very in love with the queen’s undeniable charm and unique perspectives. In addition, Tia definitely killed it at the “Rats: The Rusical” maxi challenge, which made her co-stars see this queen in a different light.
