In a new video, Ryan Reynolds faces his biggest challenge yet: Guessing his movies based on their IMDb parents guide. Whether he’s promoting a new project or engaging in his public “feud” with Hugh Jackman, Reynolds can always be counted on to supply some great entertainment. Lately, the actor has been very visible thanks to three nearly back-to-back movies. In 2021, he starred in both the crowd-pleasing breakout Free Guy and the globe-trotting caper Red Notice, which went on to become Netflix’s biggest original film ever. Both Free Guy and Red Notice are expected to receive sequels now.

Most recently, Reynolds has merged two aspects of both films to create The Adam Project. Partnering with both Netflix and Free Guy director Shawn Levy, Reynolds stars as the titular Adam in the time-traveling, family-friendly adventure. Adam is a time traveler from 2050 who crash lands into 2022 and comes face to face with his 12-year-old self (Walker Scobell) while attempting to save his future. The Adam Project also stars Zoe Saldaña, Jennifer Garner, and Mark Ruffalo, and it has been a fixture on Netflix’s top 10 chart since it debuted last weekend.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

While promoting The Adam Project, Reynolds sat down with IMDb to play a fun little game. Using only snippets of the website’s different parents guides, Reynolds was tasked with guessing which movie they were referring to. When it came to those like Free Guy and Buried, he actually did quite well. There were others, though, where the phrasing caught Reynolds off guard. Scroll on to watch the funny video.

Reynolds has enjoyed his fair share of NSFW moments, so the above video really only scratches the surface of his career. In fact, his most R-rated projects yet, Deadpool and its sequel, don’t even get their own entries. Nevertheless, it’s funny to see Reynolds look back on some of his past projects, including those like the romcom Just Friends. He has certainly enjoyed a wide and varied career, and it’s only going to continue growing from here.

Looking ahead to the future, Reynolds has some exciting projects on the way even amid his decision to press pause on acting for a little while. In addition to the aforementioned in-development sequels for Free Guy and Red Notice, Reynolds will star alongside Will Ferrell in the holiday musical Spirited. Plus, he still has Deadpool 3 in the works at Marvel Studios, and it just added Levy as director. Reynolds remains booked and busy, so expect plenty more silliness from him in the future.
