The last smartphone in this series was Galaxy XCover Pro. It comes with a 6.3-inch display with 409 pixels per inch resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. While other specifications of the smartphone remained average, it boasts an IP68 rating for immersion up to 1.5 meters and a drop-to-concrete resistance rating of also up to 1.5 meters. Samsung says that the smartphone is built for frontline workers.

A new Samsung smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench and, according to MySmartPrice, it could be the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2. The Geekbench listing reveals a lot of details about the rugged smartphone successor, including the model number, processor, and that it runs on the latest operating system version, Android 12. The smartphone appears to have taken benchmarking tests multiple times, which should help to provide a clearer picture on its performance.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 2 Pro Benchmark Scores

According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2’s model number is SM-G736B and the smartphone is powered by an octa-core ARMv8 chipset with four high-efficiency cores (clocked at 1.80 GHz) and four high-performance cores (clocked at 2.40 GHz). Additionally, the model that appeared on Geekbench featured 6GB of RAM, although other variants could also become available. In terms of the scores, the purported Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2 managed 751-776 points on the single-core test and 2,594-2,793 points on the multi-core test. Based on all this information, MySmartPrice speculates that the upcoming smartphone could likely feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip.

The current Galaxy XCover Pro smartphone is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9611 octa-core chipset. If the upcoming smartphone does come loaded with the Snapdragon 778G as suggested, it would likely result in a major upgrade in performance. Apart from this, the phone is expected to come with additional protection features, such as a wet touch display, a glove mode that increases screen sensitivity, and a high IP rating so that it can survive in tough conditions. Samsung may also opt to improve camera performance and battery life with its latest Galaxy XCover Pro smartphone.
