HBO Max has released the raunchy new trailer and key art for Santa Inc., an upcoming stop-motion Christmas series from Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen. Neither comedian is a stranger to voice acting. Outside of her extensive live-action resume, Silverman has done voiceover work on Wreck-It-Ralph, Bob’s Burgers, and multiple Adult Swim series, among other projects. Rogen’s trademark voice is similarly well-suited for animation, having appeared in the Kung Fu Panda series, the Lion King remake, and as Donkey Kong in the upcoming Mario film. Rogen also co-wrote and produced the adult animated comedy Sausage Party in 2016.

Now, Rogen and Silverman are collaborating on Santa Inc., a new HBO Max trailer reveals. The 8-episode series follows Candy Smalls (Silverman), the highest ranking female elf in the North Pole, and a bawdy, bro-y Santa (Rogen), whose belly is more full of beer than jelly. When Santa’s successor is poached by Amazon, Candy must impress his entitled, cigar-smoking inner circle in order to become the first female Santa. In addition to Christmas cheer, the NSFW trailer is also full of f-bombs, public urination, and topical humor. “More American kids believe in you than they do in vaccines or the Holocaust,” Candy tells an impressed (albeit alarmed) Santa. Check out the trailer and a new poster below:

Silverman and Rogen are joined by an impressive roster of co-stars, including Craig Robinson as Junior, the leader of the reindeer’s “A-Team,” Gabourey Sidibe as Goldie, a bisexual reindeer on the “B-Team,” Succession’s Nicholas Braun as Santa Inc.’s intern Devin, Maria Bamford as Candy’s mom and Mrs. Claus, Leslie Grossman as a gingerbread woman, and Joel Kim Booster as Jingle Jim. Alexandra Rushfield, an executive producer on Shrill and Parks and Recreation, is set to helm the series.

The official synopsis reads, “In this series from Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman, intrepid elf Candy Smalls will do anything to be named as the first female Santa – even if she has to fight like a man to get it.” All eight episodes of Santa, Inc. premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, December 2.
