During the course of Scarlet Nexus players will have to face off against many difficult enemies and challenges. Those who hope to survive will need to quickly familiarize themselves with the game’s unique mechanics and combat abilities. The game’s enemies will require players to make use of many different strategies to defeat them, and the player will need to be comfortable switching between both normal attacks and psychokinetic abilities if they want to make their way through the game in one piece.

One thing that is almost just as important are the pieces of gear that players are carrying with them into battle. Each character in the game has a variety of different weapons that the player can acquire and use, so it’s important that players always have the most powerful one at their disposal. The main character Kasane has quite a few different throwing knives at her disposal. This guide shows players the best ones for her to use and how to acquire them.

Scarlet Nexus: How to Get Kasane’s Best Weapons

Almost all of the weapons in the game are acquired at the store where the player is able to purchase them using money or exchange other useful items for them instead. Typically players will find the necessary tradable materials by killing enemies in combat. Most of these weapons can also be upgraded by exchanging certain items at the store as well, and this will increase their power levels considerably. In total Kasane has seven different weapons for the player to track down, and all of them but one have upgraded versions. Here are the best ones for the player to get:

Shooting Star

This is one of the first weapons that the player can acquire that can realistically be used to carry them through to the end of the game if they really want. In its base form, the Shooting Star has an attack rating of 47, which is significantly higher than any of the other weapons before it. Unlike Youito’s weapons though none of Kasane’s are able to actually be purchased using money. Instead, the Shooting Star and all other weapons must be acquired by exchanging other items for them. To get the Shooting Star the player will need to exchange:

  • The Improved Ripple is another weapon that the player would need to upgrade first.
  • 1 Rummy Type Suppression. This item is acquired by defeating Rummy Type enemies until they drop them, but luckily it is a fairly common item drop from these enemies. The Scummy Rummy, Buddy Rummy, Kitchen Rummy, and Rainy Rummy can all be defeated to acquire this drop. They can be found in pretty much any location on the map.
  • The player will also need a Battle Record A. This is a pretty rare item that will probably take a long while to drop, but in order to acquire one the players can fight enemies like Bile Pool, Fuel Pool, Vase Paws, Buddy Rummy, and Scummy Rummy. Most of them can be found at Kikuchiba.

Once the player has the Shooting Star they will be able to upgrade the weapon as well. Doing so will boost its attack rating from 47 to 50. These are the items needed to upgrade this weapon entirely:

  • The player must trade in the Shooting Star to receive the upgraded version.
  • A Paws Type Suppression + will also be needed. This material can only be obtained by defeating a Paws Type enemy of which there are only two. There is the Saws Paws and the Base Paws enemy. The player will probably have the most luck searching the Old OSF Hospital and Old Ward locations, but there are a few others areas these enemies can be found as well.
  • Another Battle Record A will also be needed to upgrade this weapon completely.

Wisteria Maiden

Another solid weapon that is stronger in its base form than even the upgraded versions of most other weapons in the game. The Wisteria Maiden has an attack rating of 53, and like all of the other weapons in the game, the player must exchange items at Satori’s store to acquire it. There is also an upgraded version of the weapon as well that boosts its power considerably. The items needed to exchange for the Wisteria Maiden are:

  • The Improved Shooting Star. The player will need to have upgraded this weapon before trading it in for the Wisteria Maiden.
  • A Pound-Type Suppression can only be obtained by defeating Pound Type enemies. The only two types of enemies of this type are the Missin Pound and the Cushion Pound who are found at the SLRF and the Museum Ruins locations.
  • Once again the player will require a Battle Record A.

With the Wisteria Maiden in their hands, the player can then work towards upgrading it at the store as well. Once upgraded the weapon will go from an attack rating of 53 to a rating of 56. Here are all of the items that the player will need to exchange for that upgrade:

  • The Wisteria Maiden itself will need to be traded in for the upgrade.
  • A Santa-Type Suppression + will also be needed. This material can only be obtained by defeating a Santa Type enemy of which there is only one. The Barrista Santa can be found at the Old OSF Hospital and Old Ward Locations.
  • Another Battle Record A will also be needed to upgrade this weapon completely.

Hitori

Each character in the game has a weapon that is leagues stronger than any other weapon in the game, and Kasane’s is the Hitori by far. This weapon sports an attack rating of 70 which outclasses her other throwing knives considerably. The thing is though the player can’t acquire this weapon until they have completed the game all the way through to get their hands on special material and then spend time hunting some other rare resources. Once the player has found everything they will be able to exchange things at the store. There is no upgraded version of the weapon, but it is so powerful that the player won’t need anything else. The items that the player must trade in are:

  • The Improved Dancer’s Fan, which is a pretty powerful weapon in its own right. This weapon is the last one that can be acquired in the store before the Hitori, and the player will need to upgrade it before turning it in.
  • The player will also require the Hitori Phantom Art. By completing Kasane’s storyline all the way through the player will receive this special item. This is the only one of its kind, and this is the only method that can be used to obtain it.
  • The final item needed is a Rainy Rummy Analysis. Analysis is by far the rarest type of resource in the game and can only be acquired by defeating the specific enemy that they are associated with. Players will just need to continue defeating that same enemy type over and over again until they receive the Analysis. The player will find the Rainy Rummy at Abandoned Line 9 and Hirasaka Station Entrance.
