Sitcoms don’t always withstand the test of time, but Schitt’s Creek is likely going to be one that ages like a fine wine. Even though it’s only been off the air for a year, fans have already started referring to it as a classic, thanks to the hilarious episode and loveable characters the show made viewers fall in love with.

Though Patrick Brewer (Noah Reid) joined the cast of Schitt’s Creek in the third season, he quickly became a beloved staple character. In fact, Patrick quickly becomes a main character of sorts, earning episode plots that entirely revolve around him. He also becomes one-half of the most iconic relationships on the show.

10 “Motel Review” (Season 3, Episode 8)

“Motel Review” is obviously one of Patrick’s best episodes because it’s the first time fans are introduced to his loveable character. In the episode, David must work with Patrick in order to open up his own business, but this proves to be difficult for David who can’t articulate his thoughts very well. The episode is hilarious and also serves as an adorable meet-cute moment for these two future lovebirds.

From the very first moment fans meet Patrick, they learn that he’s incredibly kind, caring, and good at what he does. Though Patrick takes on a more serious approach to handling David, he actually ends up helping David figure out his business goals.

9 “Grad Night” (Season 3, Episode 13)

“Grad Night” might be one of Alexis’s best episodes in Schitt’s Creek, but Patrick has an important and memorable subplot that is going on. In the episode, Patrick invites David out for dinner, who then invites Stevie, thinking it’s a birthday dinner and not a date.

Watching Patrick navigate the awkwardness of Stevie being at the dinner table with him and David is embarrassing, but also hilarious. Patrick also gets to be vulnerable and thoughtful in this episode with the gift he gives to David.

8 “Open Mic” (Season 4, Episode 6)

When it comes to iconic sitcom TV romantic gestures, Patrick takes the cake with his gesture in “Open Mic.” In the episode, Patrick convinces David to hold an open mic night at the apothecary to boost sales. It also gives Patrick an excuse to serenade David with a beautiful rendition of “Simply the Best.”

Not only is this episode swoon-worthy, but it also gave Noah Reid a chance to show off his singing talents. It was also further proof of just how much David means to Patrick.

7 “The Plant” (Season 5, Episode 3)

Like many of the characters in Schitt’s Creek, Patrick often finds himself in awkward situations that shouldn’t be so awkward. In “The Plant,” Patrick is searching for a new place to stay, which prompts David to think he wants to move in together.

This miscommunication makes for hilarious moments between David and Patrick, as they both have differing views on the apartment. Ultimately, Patrick sticks to what he wants which is important because it shows that he’s not an easily persuaded character.

6 “Meet The Parents” (Season 5, Episode 11)

While “Meet the Parents” is a hilarious episode, it’s also one of the more heartfelt episodes of Schitt’s Creek. In the episode, Patrick must come out to his parents after David secretly invites them to Patrick’s birthday and Johnny Rose lets it slip that their two sons are dating.

Fans had seen Patrick be vulnerable before, but his vulnerability in this episode was completely different. At first, Patrick is scared that his parents won’t accept him, but he knows telling them is the right thing to do so he can live his authentic life. It’s one of the scenes that helped make Schitt’s Creek one of the best LGBTQ+ TV shows.

5 “Life Is A Cabaret” (Season 5, Episode 14)

Schitt’s Creek isn’t a musical show, but that didn’t stop them from doing a musical episode that focused on the town’s production of Cabaret. After weeks of hard work, Patrick finally gets to show his talents as the emcee.

Fans loved to watch Patrick get out of his comfort zone and take the stage, plus it also allowed him to show off his singing talents again. It’s also an emotional Patrick episode since it’s when he and David break the news to everyone that they’re engaged.

4 “The Incident” (Season 6, Episode 2)

“The Incident” is one of the best David episodes of Schitt’s Creek but it also proves to be an amazing Patrick episode too. In it, David accidentally wet the bed while sharing it with Patrick.

Patrick’s reaction is what makes this episode so amazing because Patrick never once makes fun of David. Instead, he cleans the bed and even tries to make him feel better about it by revealing the embarrassing things he does while he sleeps. It’s one of those moments that proves Patrick has a heart of gold.

3 “The Premiere” (Season 6, Episode 5)

Patrick might not be the main focal point in “The Premiere,” but he does manage to steal the spotlight. In the episode, Patrick has just had his wisdom teeth pulled, which left him high on pain killers and rather chatty.

Since Patrick is usually a well-put-together and in control character, it’s hilarious to see him impulsive and carefree. It’s also hilarious to watch Patrick be the reason David squirms when he reveals he might want kids someday.

2 “Moira Rosé” (Season 6, Episode 7)

While “Moira Rosé” might be one of Moira’s best episodes in Schitt’s Creek, it also has a heartfelt plot involving Patrick and Johnny Rose. In the episode, the two bond as Johnny attempts to have “the talk” with Patrick since he’ll soon be married to David.

Johnny and Patrick don’t have too many scenes together, which makes this episode so special. It’s also another example of how caring Patrick is because he beats Johnny to the talk, promising him to always love and cherish David for as long as he lives.

1 “Happy Ending” (Season 6, Episode 14)

“Happy Endings” has gone down in history as one of the best sitcom finales of all time, but it’s also Patrick’s final best episode of the show. After months of planning, David and Patrick finally get to walk down the aisle, though it’s not quite like they imagined.

Patrick proves to be David’s knight in shining armor again when he springs into action, handling all the last-minute wedding details so David can rest before their big moment. It’s also the final time fans get to see Patrick be completely vulnerable when he sings his adorable vows to David.
